122 Go kartingÂ
The ride was quict with neither of the boys speaking. I knew the boys weren’t close to each other given our family circumstances. They lived in separate homes and were even in different grade levels at school.Â
I tried to break the ice by asking them questions about school and about what we were going to do at the resort. The resort was located just outside the city so there was space for all the activities offered.Â
“What activity should we do?” I asked them upon arriving. I had the boys go through the different activities. I knew we couldn’t do any activities that had to do with water due to Marco’s sensitive skin condition so I scrapped off activities like water rafting, or kayaking.Â
“Maybe we can go go–karting?” Tony then suggested.Â
“Yeah, that sounds good,” Marco agreed.Â
“Then go–karting it is,” I said to them.Â
Having decided on our activity we then headed towards the go–karting area.Â
I went ahead and had the entire go–karting zone booked for the three of us so the hotel guests wouldn’t bother us.Â
The boys were helped into protective gear for the go–karting and were helped into the karts. After some instructions from the guides on his to drive the two were on their way. I watched them from the sidelines cheering them on. I gave them advice on howÂ
to drive as well.Â
After several rounds around the track, it seemed the two were enjoying themselves. My goal was to make Tony comfortable so I could start asking him the questions I had for him.Â
My eyes on the track I watched as Anthony rounded a curve and lose control before he crashed into some tires. I went to him.Â
“Careful now,” I said to him as I pulled him out. “Are you you alright?”Â
“Yeah,” he said and dusted himself off. I then felt it was the opportunity to ask what I had been meaning to ask him.Â

“I heard you and your mum moved into a new home,” I then asked Anthony.Â
“Yes, we did,” he said looking at me as if he was surprised I knew. I had Edwin constantly update on her movements.Â
“Do you like it there?” I asked him.Â
“Yes, it’s a really nice apartment it even has an indoor pool!” he said excitedly.Â

Sounds like fun,” I said. Jasmine suddenly moved into Louis’s apartment only to moveÂ
into her own two weeks later. I thought she’d moved into his place because she loved Louis and they were rushing into their relationship. If she planned to move into her own apartment then why move into his first? She could have just waited until she found her own. What was the urgency?Â
“Why did you move into Louis‘ apartment. Did mum tell you the reason?” I asked curiously.Â
“She told me it wasn’t safe if we stayed at the house that we had to move,” be explained. “Because of Diana.”Â
It wasn’t safe because ofDiana? I wondered to myself. I contemplated what Anthony told me for a moment.Â

“When I came to visit you and your mother at your old house remember when you made a comment to your mother that since the maids are back does that mean she’s not going to make dinner?”Â
“Yeah, I remember,” he answered.Â
“What did you mean?” I asked him.Â
“We didn’t have maids. They suddenly stopped coming before Mum was angry and tried to tell you about you never wanted to talk her.Â
My eyes narrowed as I listened to him. Unsure what to make if his statement. I didn’t think he was lying. However, Was he just saying things Jasmine told him to say? He claims they had no maids but I checked the document logs myself all the maids and servants were accounted for and say they worked until the day Jasmine insisted she did not want any servants anymore.Â
Perhaps he was telling his truth which involved Jasmine’s lies. To save face to suddenly having them moved she told him they were in danger. I recalled that the time she had moved out was when she had punched Diana and started avoiding meeting with me.Â

“Did you use maids at Louis‘ place?”Â
“Yes,”Â
“And at your new home?” he asked me.Â
“Not yet but mum said she’s going to get some soon.”Â
It’s not that she wanted to do housework she just didn’t want my maids. She didn’t want the house I provided for her or my money either. I found that fact annoying. Jasmine’s actions lined up with the things her and Tony claimed but the evidence proved the opposite. Even if Diana was supposedly lying there was no way she could faked the documents she didn’t have that kind of power.Â
I thought talking to Anthony would help clear up some things but instead, I was left feeling uneasy. I had that feeling again that there was something I was missing. I hatedÂ
- it.Â
“Dad,” Anthony then called me.Â
“Yes?”Â
“Why do you hate mum and me?” he asked.Â
My eyebrows sprang up at the question, surprised.Â
He didn’t look at me as he asked the question indicating nervousness.Â
“I don’t hate you or your mother, Anthony,” I said to him. “It’s just things are complicated right now between me and her.”Â
“Mum said the two of you are getting a divorce and it’s only going to be to be just meÂ
and her.”Â
Looks like she’d told him a lot.Â
I was about to tell him something when one of my bodyguards then came to me and whispered to me. “Your wife is here and headed towards here sir,” he told me. I turned my head and in the distance saw a figure headed toward us. I could tell it was Jasmine from the way she was walking fast, her ‘aura‘ terrifying. She looked like a hurricane as she stormed toward the go–karting area.Â
Behind her were two men who seemed like her bodyguards. I thought to myself but it seemed the Carrington boy wasn’t with her and I smiled. It would have been difficult had she came with him. Now that I’ve drawn her out, I can talk to her.Â

“Oh looks like your mother is here,” I told Anthony. “let me go talk to her. You two keep on going,” I told him.Â
From the aura emanating from Jasmine, I could tell our conversation wasn’t going to be friendly. I didn’t want us to make a scene in front of the kids so it would be best if we took this somewhere else. I left the go–karting track and went to meet he just outside. A grin appeared on my face as I anticipated what she was about to say to me.Â
“Jasmine, you made it,” I said to her.Â
“Keith what the f*ck are you doing?!” she started. Here we go, I said to myself.Â
