Asher looked at Jolene as if she were some bug crawling in a filthy gutter. “An Awakened, and you turned out like this? Don’t you even feel embarrassed?”Â
Jolene sized him up head to toe, then suddenly smirked and changed her tune. She said, “So, you’re Rank S? Or maybe Double–S? You know what, I’ve changed my mind. Sir, I’m willing to make a marriage pact with you. If your… male skills meet my standards, I promise to spend the next ten years dedicated solely to bearing you a daughter. How’s that sound?”Â
I’ve never seen a woman so shameless, thinking she can just go after Asher like that?Â
“Who do you think you are? Dreaming you could ever touch someone like Asher?” Ava snapped, practically spitting fire. “Do you even see yourself? A woman like you wouldn’t even be worthy of standing near him, let alone flirting with him. If you’re feeling all hot and bothered, go bother your own man. And where did you get the crazy idea that you could be my sister–in–law? Not in a million years!”Â
Ava’s anger shot up, and she rolled up her sleeves. “Apologize to Asher. Right now!” With that, she grabbed the railing and lightly hopped down onto the main floor. “If you don’t, we are not done today. You go around teasing guys, ruining their reputations. If you love them that much, maybe you should wear a sign around your neck so they know you’re available. I’m sure someone would be more than happy to feed your twisted desires!”Â
Asher just watched, heart aching, as Ava tore into Jolene with everything she had–all to defend him. He was way too softhearted for this.Â
That’s my Ava. I can’t believe there’s actually a sister in this world who defends me like that.Â
Worried that Ava might get hurt, Asher climbed over the railing after her. Then, all of a sudden, a flicker of confusion crept into his mind.Â
How did she get over it so easily? That railing is almost as tall as she is.Â
Jolene was momentarily stunned.Â
I don’t know how this girl suddenly becomes so forceful.Â
“Hurry up and apologize,” Ava said, locking eyes with Jolene.Â
“You expect me to apologize?” Jolene screamed. “You want an Awakened person like me to say sorry to some guy?”Â
Isn’t this beyond ridiculous? Turn around, and it would be all over the Stellar Network as a trending headline.Â
Jolene’s hand shot up, ready to slap, but Ava yanked her wrist and swung back with a solid slap.Â
“Apologize!” Ava demanded.Â
“You dare hit me?” Jolene screamed, utterly shocked. She had never taken such a blow in her life, let alone from a regular person, in front of everyone.Â
“Hit me back if you want! You threw the first punch. If I didn’t fight back, I’d just let you beat me?” Ava’s eyes locked on hers, fierce and unflinching. “Apologize!”Â
“Ahhh…” Jolene shrieked and lunged at her, ready to go all in.Â

Ava stepped back, swung a kick straight at Jolene’s stomach, and shouted, “Asher, get Jane on video call! Tell her to come and deal with this woman!”Â
Seeing Ava holding her own, Asher finally relaxed and let out a cold laugh. His mental power flared, pressing down on the men around them like a silent warning. “Ladies fighting. Why are you guys even here?”Â
The guys were nothing compared to his level of mental power. They trembled, gasping for breath under the invisible pressure.Â
Ever since Jolene awakened, she had used her status to lord over others. She had forced men to obey her for years, yet her own power hadn’t grown an ounce in decades. That frustration made her cling even harder to her Awakened title. She could not stand anyone questioning her authority.Â
Ava moved like water, light, and uncatchable. Jolene dared not unleash her power, so she was no threat at all. Ava treated her like a puppet, toying with and teasing her. In no time, Jolene was streaked with bruises and scratches, her face streaked with tears and snot. Any trace of her former beauty was gone.Â
The live stream had already drawn in hundreds of millions of viewers, and the numbers continued to climb. Two women fighting was somehow even more thrilling than a car race.Â
‘Oh my god, what a goddess sister! My sister only ever bosses me around, laughs at me, and lets me take the blame when she screws up.‘Â
‘I’m tired of saying I envy him. Please let me inhabit this guy and be her brother!Â
‘Whoa… there’s actually a sister out there who stands up for her brother over just one comment?‘Â
‘Give me a sister this good and obedient. I wish I could hit the reset button on my sister!‘Â
‘Hit the reset button… count my sister too…‘Â
‘Count mine as well.‘Â
‘Quick question, Jolene’s an Awakened. If she got hit, could the girl get in trouble?‘Â
‘They’re women fighting. No one died. What law are you talking about? Mouth ran ahead of skill. She deserved it.‘Â
‘Honestly, Jolene’s the type who needed to be taken down a peg. She abused her status and made life miserable for so many young people. Getting knocked like this now is exactly what she deserves.Â
The comments kept flooding in.Â
Jolene lay on the ground, gasping for breath. Ava crouched down in front of her. “So, are you apologizing?”Â
“Ugh! No way I’m apologizing. I’ve slept with plenty of men. Who does he think he is?”Â
