Chapter 71 Ava’s Unique Power

She had felt smug for a brief moment earlier. Now, compared to others, she realized she was completely 

outclassed. 

“There aren’t only these few types of elemental power,” sher said. “Over the years, some people have awakened rarer kinds, too. Ava, hurry up and tell us what yours is.” 

He was genuinely curious. His eyes were bright.as he looked at her. 

Ava let out a sigh. “I can’t explain it clearly in just one or two sentences. Do this instead. Get me a flowerpot, put some soil in it, and bring me a seed.” 

When everyone saw that these were the only things she wanted, they became even more curious about what kind of ability she had awakened. 

The flowerpot and the seed were brought over quickly. Ava reached out and stirred the soil with her hand. She closed her eyes. Her whole body seemed to glow, wrapped in a soft and gentle light. 

One minute later, she pulled her hand back and tossed the seed into the soil. Then she opened her palm. A tiny green plant appeared in her hand. It was about one to two inches tall with three small leaves. A soft green glow surrounded it, and the light slowly grew brighter. Moments later, the seed buried in the soil sprouted. It pushed through the dirt and grew quickly, spon reaching more than four inches. 

Ava’s face looked a little pale. She pulled her hand back and shoved the flowerpot toward everyone. 

“This is it. Right now, this is the limit of what I can do when I speed up plant growth. I’ve tested it before. The plants I grow can produce fruit that people can eat right away.” 

This was unheard of. 

For a long time, women had only been divided by whether they had primal power. They were either women with awakened power or ordinary women. 

Now, something completely different appeared right in front of them. 

“Keith, take the flowerpot to the lab and have it tested,” Claire said. 

Keith took the flowerpot from Ava and held it against his chest. His eyes were bright and focused, and Ava could see her own reflection in them. 

“I’ll excuse myself for now,” he said. 

Ava pulled her hands back and clasped them behind her Her thumb and index finger brushed together. When Keith took the flowerpot, his fingers brushed against hers. She wasn’t sure whether it was on purpose. A sharp jolt ran through her, like a sudden electric shock. 

Ryan caught the slight movement clearly. He cursed Keith in his heart. 

He did it on purpose. 

Ava spoke with curiosity. “Mrs. Holcomb, can your hospital lab really analyze this?” 

“It’s not the hospital lab,” Claire said. “It’s our family lab. We have dedicated farms and labs. Half of the vegetables and fruit supplied to the Capitol Planet come from our family. Now let’s talk about your situation.”

When Claire first learned that Keith had been forcibly matched, she was shocked. Later, she found out the match was Ava, the granddaughter of the Morren family they had just taken back. Ava looked at the proud expression on Claire’s face and felt a lot of pressure. She thought her ability was pretty useless. It couldn’t be used to fight mutants or protect anyone. She really didn’t think it was that impressive. 

Jonathan already had countless thoughts racing through his mind. Once this news got out, he could easily imagine the huge stir it would cause. Someone this rare belonged to their family. After so many years, the tide had finally turned. Now it was the Morren family’s turn. 

“Ava, your university major is genetic medicine research Ethan said suddenly. “Have you thought about changing your major?” 

Ava let out a slight sound of surprise. The topic shifted too fast, and she didn’t react right away. 

“I just think you should consider your future,” Ethan said. “In pharmacogenomics research, Keith is already one of the best in the field. Of course, I’m not looking down on you. I just―” 

Ava understood what he meant. “I know what you’re trying to say. I chose this major back then mostly because of my grandfather. It wasn’t really my personal interest.”
