Darren coldly sneered. “What friendship do I have with you? If you want to know so badly, go ask the Morren family yourself.”
Virgil’s face darkened, and he sharply shot back. “Hey, Darren, do not push it too far. I heard this child is Patrick’s granddaughter. Too bad. Everyone thought Patrick had gone missing long ago. Otherwise, would there even be room for you, Mr. Sawyer?”
“Virgil!” Darren angrily laughed instead. “Is your Association of Awakened really that bored? No wonder your performance never meets the mark. You spend all day watching others. Are you not tired?”
Darren turned and gave an order. “Paul, escort him out. From now on, unless it is by my command, no outsiders are allowed in. I do not care if it is the Association of Awakened or any other department. Anyone who disobeys will be treated as a spy.”
That day, Capitol Planet was destined to be far from peaceful.
The sky faintly brightened, yet the Presidential Palace remained brightly lit.
The head secretary respectfully placed a top–secret document on the desk. Luther Clark opened it and quickly read through it.
He firmly pressed the report down and remarked, “Ava, wenty–five years old and Awakened with wood and purification elemental power. Truly the first of her kind in all of history.”
Luther turned to the aides beside him and calmly instructed them, saying, “To the public, only announce that she awakened wood elemental power. Do not mention dual types. Closely monitor public opinion. Classify all information about her as the highest–level secret. No one is allowed access. Later, summon Jonathan to the Presidential Palace.”
The head secretary respectfully asked, “Sir, regarding Ms. Morren’s title, should it follow the titles granted to Awakened women, or should other arrangements be made?”
Luther waved his hand. “We’ll discuss the title after daybreak. She is different from the average Awakened. They must not be placed together.”
The head secretary led everyone out. Only Luther remained in the vast office.
Luther stood up and walked to the window. He quietly gazed at the pitch–black sky.
“Ava. A member of the Morren family,” he softly murmured.
His Holoband softly beeped. Upon seeing his wife’s name, the stern look on his face faded away.
“Rachel,” he warmly greeted.
Rachel’s voice carried worry. “Did something urgent happen? They called you to work in the middle of the night. What are those people under you doing? Could it not wait until morning?”
Luther lightly laughed. “It is not bad news. It is good news. The Morren family has brought back a granddaughter. Her name is Ava, and she has awakened her elemental power.”
“The Morren family. Jonathan?” Rachel surprisingly asked. “Does that family not have only one

“Not from Jonathan,” Luther patiently explained. “It is his younger brother, Patrick. He did not die on the battlefield back then.”
“The Morren family truly has good fortune,” Rachel sighed. “If only my Julian were still here.”
“Rachel, the past is the past,” Luther gently said. “At least Tylissa is still here. Tell Anthony that the Morren family is holding Ava’s coming–of–age ceremony. Have im attend.”
Rachel hesitated. “You know his temper. I am afraid I cannot persuade him.”
Compared to the outstanding and disciplined eldest son Julian, who never caused worry, the second son, Anthony Clark, had been troublesome since childhood. After the death of his elder brother, he became cranky and increasingly gloomy.
“That ungrateful child,” Luther sighed. “I know his nature. Forget it. Arrange it as you see fit. This Morren family child’s awakening is a once–in–history event.”
This matter could not be hidden.
Even if only Ava’s wood elemental power was announced, it would still stir massive waves across society.
The sharp–minded people on Capitol Planet had likely already received the news.
The child was only twenty–five.
Many were surely itching to make a move.
“The Morren family really has someone watching over them,” Rachel said. “First, there was Jane. She is an Awakened. Only a few years later, another one appears that’s even more incredible. She is close in age to Tylissa. People will surely compare the two in the future”
“Rachel,” Luther solemnly rebuked. “Tylissa is Tylissa. If she cannot handle this stress, then she is not worthy of being a Clark. Her mother was a high–level Awakened Once Tylissa awakens her power, do you not trust the child you personally raised?”
Luther truly did not understand his wife’s worry. A capable person is bound to face jealousy.
Being compared only meant they were equals.
Rachel helplessly glanced at him. Men and women focused on different things.
She chose not to explain further.
“Of course, I trust my Tylissa,” she softly said. “Once she awakens her power, she will surely grow into someone as outstanding as her mother.”
“I will try speaking with Anthony later,” Rachel added. “If he truly refuses, let Tylissa attend on behalf of the Clarks.”
After ending the call, Rachel could no longer sleep. She rose and walked into the room Julian once lived in.
Everything inside remained the same. A photo of Julian in his youth still rested on the desk.
She gently picked it up and quietly looked at it. Tears soon filled her eyes.

“Julian, Tylissa has already grown up. Time really passes too fast. In the blink of an eye, twenty–five years are gone.”
