As for Ava, she remained silent, no matter how wild things had gotten outside. Since her personal social platform’s user ID was just a series of numbers, her profile page had zero posts on the news, and no one came to bombard her with comments. Currently, she scrolled through all the chatter with delight. However, she was speechless after seeing the netizens praise her in glowing terms. From the way they talked, it was as if the subject of their discussion wasn’t even human anymore. 

Nevertheless, Ava was secretly glad she rejected the suggested shame–inducing title. Otherwise, she really wouldn’t dare show up in public. The top official summoned Jonathan the day after the higher–ups came to Morren Residence. After seeking the Morren family’s opinion, both sides agreed to only release the news about Ava having awakened her wood elemental power for the time being. 

As for titles, Ava knew that female Awakened were given a rank of peerage based on their primal power rank. However, the title had no real power and was purely a symbol of honor. Even so, her situation was different. Moreover, some guy suddenly had a bit of a brain fart and actually wanted to bestow her the title of “Her Highness“. Fortunately, the higher–ups sought the Morren family’s opinion. Ava nearly choked on her saliva when she heard the suggested title. 

Only after she adamantly refused to accept the ridiculous title and flat–out rejected any ennoblement did. the officials finally give up. She wasn’t playing noble, though. Indeed, she was the first female to awaken elemental power in this world now, but every honor needed matching strength. Although she had awakened her elemental power, she feared the mob would roast her when it was revealed later that her power didn’t match her status if they announced it with fanfare without having her get battle–tested first. 

Ava browsed the comments like a bystander. Neither did she post anything, nor did she like any of the comments. No one would guess she was quietly watching the tittle–tattles about herself at all.

Nonetheless, she had to give credit to the officials for their swift action. Those who tried to dig into her information would immediately receive a warning online. As for Ava’s past, the first ten–plus years came up blank. Even though she didn’t think her rough years were shameful, she favored reveling in the tranquility of not being harassed by the public. 

Just as Ava was too into browsing, Jane gave her a video all. Seeing that Ava was calm as a lake, she teased, “You sure are taking this lightly. You don’t seem to be bothered the slightest. It’s chaotic out there. My comms and those of my husbands are about to explode. Everyone is coming up with their own tricks to avoid harassment. We even had to sneak to work and sneak back these days.” 

Ava sat cross–legged on the bed in loungewear. Her lips uirked into a grin as she said, “They’ll chill once the hype fades away. So, Jane, please bear with it for a little longer, okay?” 

“Good thing the higher–ups had suppressed your information. If not, your photos and information would have long spread like wildfire.” 

Upon hearing that, Ava chuckled. “The result would still return as blank even if they dug it. After all, the old me and the new me are worlds apart.” 

“Honestly, I have to applaud your mindset. Most people in your spot would blast it to the world. They would have long posted it on their personal social platforms, tagged the officials, and dropped an emotional thank- you speech. Their follower count would definitely skyrocket, almost rivaling Tylissa’s influence.” 

Ava shook her head as she laughed. “Don’t compare me to Tylissa. She’s a well–deserved noble lady. We’re not comparable at all. Besides, I’m me, and she’s her. I don’t like being measured against anyone either.” 

Despite them both having time–traveled to the Age of the Stars, Ava never planned to reunite with a ‘fellow townsman. In fact, she swore not to tell anyone and kep, this secret in her heart forever. Right now, she was Ava Morren and no one else. 

“Oh, by the way, Asnio said your silk dress is ready. I heard that Mr. Mett hasn’t touched anything else these days and has worked on your dress wholeheartedly. Do you want to schedule a time to pick up the dress at his store or have him send it to our house? Heads–up. There are a lot of people staking out our house right now. I don’t even dare go home. Asnio also said your gown has been fully altered. Just let him know when you’re free to drop by his place and try it on.”
