Chapter 65Â
The online buzz was way crazier than anyone expected.Â
A person wrote: [She is definitely the future Mrs. Gibson, too bad we can’t see her face.]Â

Another wrote: [I’ve seen her before. She’s super pretty, but she’s just Mr. Gibson’s assistant, so she’s probably only there to help outÂ
Someone else wrote: [Why does her look so familiar? Doesn’t she look like that miracle doctor who saved Randolph and called out Professor Chavez?]Â
Another person wrote: [Agreed, she really does look a bit like her, but come on, who’d be a miracle doctor and still work as someone’s assistant?]Â
Netizens really were something else. In no time, someone had actually posted comparison pics.Â
Even though they couldn’t see Edwina’s face, her figure was almost identical in both pictures. More importantly, Kelvin was at both events. People felt that it couldn’t be a coincidence.Â
When Kelvin saw the online chatter, he put Peter in charge of scrubbing every single post trying to expose Edwina’s real identity.Â
Darius and Gloria adored Edwina, but they never public about being family or let the world know who she really was.Â
They kept her real identity under wraps just so Edwina wouldn’t get hassled. Kelvin was no different. He’d do anything to keep her safe, too.Â
Once the three of them hopped into the luxury car, the paparazzi and the crowd were left in the dust. Finally, Edwina could breathe again, the world finally quieted down for her.Â
Imelda sat in the back seat, her face lit up with pure joy thought she was absolutely stunning.Â
she looked at Edwina. Even if Edwina wasn’t smiling, Imelda stillÂ
‘What an adorable sweetheart!‘ Imelda couldn’t help but thinkÂ
to herself.Â
By the time they pulled up to the Gibson Manor, the crowd out front had only gotten bigger.Â
Benedict Lennox, Beatrice Lennox, and Abby were all there. The Lennox family was there to butter up the Gibson family.Â
After that last wine tasting, they’d totally fallen out with the Hoffman family and even had a minor clash with Kelvin.Â
The Gibsons hadn’t held a grudge, but the Lennoxes still wanted to patch things up. Benedict just couldn’t believe Kelvin would ever turn his back on the Lennox family for a girl.Â
‘Seriously? That girl is not even worthy to be compared to us,‘ he sneered to himself.Â
The sun was beating down, and Abby was getting seriously impatient.Â
She said, “Dad, Mom, we’re cool with the Cole family now. As long as I keep Desmond wrapped around my finger, the Lennox family will be totally safe in Grindel City.”Â
Beatrice shot Abby a look with a hint of exasperation. “Don’t play dumb. You know exactly what’s up with your stomach.Â
“No one in Grindel City can compare to the Gibsons. When you meet Imelda laterÂ
got it?”Â

Suddenly, the heavy gates of the Gibson Manor swung open. A dozen servants burst out in perfect sync, rolling out a brightÂ

carpet from the entrance all the way to the main ball.Â
The color was so vivid, it practically screamed celebration.Â
At the corner of the carpet, Abby caught sight of the iconic “LV” logo. Iler jaw dropped.Â

This was the luxury brand she’d always dreamed of owning, but for the Gibsons, it was just a custom carpet they ordered whenever they felt like it.Â
The car pulled up, and the well–trained security guards immediately blocked the Lennox family from getting any closer. Just then, the butler, Errol Pope, hurried out from inside.Â
Benedict put on his best smile and stepped forward. “You must be Errol, right? I’m Benedict Lennox from the Lennox Group. I’ve met Mrs. Gibson a few times, and I’ve had some dealings with Mr. Gibson, too.”Â
Errol shot Benedict a sideways glance, he didn’t recognize him at all. Benedict was obviously trying to name–drop and act important, but Errol kept his cool, sticking to his professional manners.Â
“Sorry, but we’re about to welcome Mrs. Gibson. Please don’t block the way,” Errol said politely.Â
Beatrice couldn’t help but feel annoyed. ‘Who does he think he is? He is just a butler,’ she thought.Â
She pulled out the bank card she’d prepared and tried underneath was obvious.Â

press it into Errol’s hand, her voice sugary sweet, but the arroganceÂ
“Errol, this is just a little token from the Lennox family. It’s not much, just thirty grand. How about you let us see Mrs. Gibson?” she said.Â
But to her surprise, Errol didn’t even move to take it.Â
The bank card just dropped right onto the carpet.Â
The cleaner nearby immediately stepped forward, picked up the card, and tossed it straight into the trash can without even blinking.Â
Errol’s voice was calm and unshakable. “Mr. Lennox, Mrs. Lennox, Miss Lennox, sorry, but if you want your card back, you’ll have to fish it out of the trash yourself. Trash doesn’t belong on a Gibson carpet.”Â
“You…” Abby was absolutely livid, her cheeks flushed with Lennox family? How dare you humiliate us!”Â
rage.Â
“You areÂ
just a guard dog, and you think you can bark at theÂ
Errol paid Abby no mind. He was already focused on welcoming Imelda, whose car had just arrived.Â
The car rolled to a stop, and Errol hurried over to open the door. Kelvin stepped out first, then carefully helped Imelda out.Â
Benedict grabbed Abby’s arm and hissed, “Cut it out. Imelda’s about to show up!”Â
The next moment, a third figure stepped out of the luxury car.Â
She was rocking a plain white tee and jeans, but that couldn’t hide her killer figure or the effortless grace she carried herself with.Â
With no paparazzi in sight, Edwina could finally hold her head high. Her jaw–dropping beauty had all eyes on her the instant she appeared.Â
Kelvin reached out to steady Edwina, but she brushed his hand away without missing a beat.Â
Her voice was crisp and cool. “Imelda, remember to get plenty of rest when you’re home. I’ll just drop you off here.”Â

Chapter 65Â
Now that Imelda knew Edwina was the Simmons family’s daughter, her heart swelled with even more joy,Â
There was no way she was letting Edwina leave. Her voice was soft and a little raspy, full of pitiful reluctance.Â
She said, “My little angel, are you leaving so soon? Why don’t you come inside and spend some time with us? You’ve done so much for our family.Â
“I really ought to thank you properly. If you don’t let me, it’ll eat away at me, I’ll end up with a guilty conscience.Â
Imelda sounded so sincere and dramatic that Edwina just couldn’t say no.Â
“Okay,” Edwina replied.Â
Errol could tell just how much Imelda cared for Edwina, and knowing Edwina was the one who’d saved the Gibson family, he was especially respectful toward her.Â
He gave a courteous bow and made a welcoming gesture. “Miss Lennox, please come inside.”Â
The crowd was buzzing with whispers. ‘Who the heck is this girl? Imelda just invited her into the mansion, and hse is treating her like royalty!”Â
Abby’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. “Dad, Mom, that’s Edwina!”Â
She was totally freaking out. Never in a millionÂ
yearsÂ
didÂ
sheÂ
to see Edwina show up somewhere this high–class.Â
Benedict’s eyes narrowed to slits. “It really is her!”Â
‘How did that nobody end up here? Why is she w their mansion?‘ Benedict fumed inwardly.Â
Kelvin again? How could the Gibsons let some backwater girl waltz intoÂ
Beatrice finally lost her cool and shouted, her voice tinged with annoyance, “Edwina, how come you’re here? Why didn’t you let Mom know?”Â
She used that as her ticket and marched right onto the red carpet, acting like she owned the place.Â
She barely made it two steps before the bodyguards stepped inÂ
and stopped her cold.Â
Kelvin spotted Beatrice, his voice dripping with contempt. “Errol, the Gibson family isn’t a place for riffraff. Some peopleÂ
aren’t even fit to set foot near this house.”Â
“Yes, Mr. Gibson. That was my oversight,” Errol replied, bowing respectfully.Â
MaÂ
With a single gesture from Errol, the bodyguards instantly dragged Beatrice off the red carpet and tossed her aside. Beatrice landed with a thud.Â
Benedict shouted, “Edwina, you are so ungrateful. After everything we’ve done for you all these years, is this really how you treat own mother?”Â
