Fuck it! I quickly take my cell phone out of my pocket and place it on the floor beside the shower before stepping inside, ignoring anything else that may be in my pockets. I wouldn’t usually give a shit about my cell, it can be replaced, but I don’t know what’s wrong with Bonine yet and I may need to call the doctor, so breaking my cell doesn’t seem like the greatest thing to do right now.Â
I’m standing in front of her in two large steps and slowly get down on my hunches when she still doesn’t respond to me. “Baby, talk to me. What’s wrong? This time my voice seems to bring her out of whatever daze she was in as she lifts her head a little to look at me, but still she doesn’t say a single word. “I’m going to call the doc.” I go to get up to grab my cell, but she stops me when she reaches out her hand and grabs my leg. “Please, don’t. Im ok.”Â
I get back down low and take her hand in mine. “Your clearly not OK, sweetheart.” She goes to disagree, but I raise a single eyebrow, calling her on her bullshit and she swiftly shakes her head. “I’m not OK, but I don’t need a doctor. Her answer is vague, but I decide to give her a chance to explain, but if I’m still not happy with what she says after that then im calling the doctor if she likes it or not.Â
I reach out my hand to touch her shoulder and gasp as the water hits my arm, it’s ice–cold and battering down on my mate. I swiftly stand up shutting of the shower before bending over and scooping my mate off the floor and stepping outside the shower.Â
Werewolves constantly run at a high temperature and right now my mate is seriously cold, and I’m seriously worried about her. For her to get this cold means that she’s been under that cold water for a seriously long time.Â
I stand her up and quickly grab a towel from the towel rack and wrap it around her before taking another one and wrapping her hair up in it before scooping her back up and walking her into our room and over to our bed. I sit her on the edge while I quickly strip out of my clothes, all while she still doesn’t say anything. Once I’m down to my boxers, I get on the bed and pull my mate up to the pillows with me and wrap myself around her, hoping that my body heat will help warm her up.Â
I give my mate a few minutes to relax and warm up, but it’s not long before I have to try and get her talking. I need her to tell me what’s going on because I feel like I’m losing my goddamn mind, not knowing what’s going on or how to fix it. “Bonnie, please tell me what’s going on. “I’m about to lose my mind with worry.” Finally, my words seem to reach her as she looks at my face and gently nods her head before slowly sitting up. The moment she gets out of my arms, Storm starts whining. He’s so build up with stress and worry over our mate that having her in our arms was the only thing keeping himÂ
somewhat calm.Â

As soon as she’s sitting up, I do the same and lean back against the headboard before swiftly gripping her hips and sitting her on my lap so that she is straddling me. I give her an encouraging nod all while remaining quiet, not wanting to delay her talking, but it’s getting hard not to say anything.Â
‘I don’t know where to start… or how to say this… I…” She stumbles on her words and, as always, I can’t help but find it cute. I push a stray piece of hair behind her ear and then cup her cheek and lightly rub her cheek with my thumb. “Just spit it out, babe. Whatever it is, you can tell me.”Â
