I want to prove Diana Rockford is a threat and there it would be risky for my son to be around them justifying my request for sole custody. I also have proof of funds and a stable job to prove I can support my son on my own.”

I told the two lawyers who sat across the table from me. Mr Churchill and Mr Crowsely. They two very renowned lawyers many socialites had hired them very several cases. They were good at what they do. I felt lucky to have them representing me and to have The first time I met with them we just gave each other brief introductions and then discussed the money my father was to wire me. We then had a general discussion of the coming court case.

On the table in front of us were the documents I had already presented them. My initial divorce filing to the court as well as the evidence that Louis had given me of Diama contacting Gatwick to have me fired. I had

Ms Towers it is important then, that you provide these bank statements that show suspicious activity done by Diana.

Yes, I currently have people decrypting the files and will have the evidence sent to you,I explained.

How soon can you give us these bank statements since we need to prepare our defence in advance,he told me.

I’m not sure but hopefully soon before the trial,” I told them in an uncertain tone. My lips pressed together as I listened to them. However, What would happen, say I can’t provide the bank statements as evidence what would happen?”

The lawyers looked at each other before glancing back me. We would do our best to defend your case but Chairman Acland would most likely win the case. He is a respected wealthy man who will prove to be a capable provider for your son and will have his own in incredible lawyers In order to go against that you need good evidence.Churchill told me.

Only presenting that she called to have you fired at best, only proves pettiness between women fighting over a man. This isn’t enough to show that your son wouldn’t be safe in the Chairman’s custody. You need to show Ms Rockford has indeed tried to harm you financially, that way the evidence of her calling to get you fired becomes added fuel to your claim.””

So basically everything depended on the raw data. I thought to myself. I felt like shit knowing I had no other evidence I could provide of what Diana had done to me. I could have tried a little harder to get evidence on Diana.

In my mind, I never thought Diana would plan to kill me six years later with some unknown powerful person. I thought I was extremely insignificant to her and once I distanced myself from Keith I would be fine but my assumptions were so wrong

Neither had I anticipated Keith wanting partial custody of Tony which is why I needed all this evidence in the first place. I still didn’t understand his motivations though.

I had just wanted to forget about the two of them and move on with Tony. Still, despite my excuses, I regret not being prepared all the same.

Once I finished my discussion with the lawyers I left the discussion room and made my way out of the law firm’s building. My mind was racing as I felt the pressure of everything.

Will I be able to win against Keith in court? How will this conspiracy come to an end? I asked myself as I walked down the street from the law firm building. I was headed with my bodyguards to the car.

Calm down, Jasmine. I told myself. You’ll get through this.

Suddenly a car pulled up on the side of the road right beside me on the curb I was walking on. It caused to stop and I looked at the black sedan. My eyes widened in fear for a moment. It better not be who I think it is. My bodyguards drew closer to me amd my breathing hitched.

The door opened out came a figure. My eyes narrowed as they expected to see the person I suspected it was. However, a look of confusion came over me as I was met with someone else entirely.

I thought it was Keith who had come to disturb me yet again. He was the only person recently who had a habit of making an appearance whenever he felt like it, in these mysterious black sedans.

Good morning, Mrs Acland,” the man introduced himself as approached me and I continued to look at him in confusion. Though I didn’t know him there was something familiar about him. He was dressed in a fine suit and appeared to be in his late thirties. He was of middling height, skinny, wore glasses and had a serious looking face. There was something very secretarial about him.

I’m sorry who are you?I asked him.

He adjusted his glasses with a ginger. Ah, my name is Vincent. I am the assistant of the CEO of the Carrington Group, Robert Carrington Jr

OkayI replied, I guess I was right about there being something secretarial about him. I then recalled the man that that had come out of Louis’office that time when Louis was angry trying to explain the situation with Gatwick to him. This was him.

The CEO would like to speak your Vincent went on. If you would please come with me to the Carrington group headquarters, Mrs Acland

My eyes widened as I wondered why Robert Jr, a man I hadn’t spoke to, not as adults anyway, would want to speak with me. I recalled the message I had read on Louisphone that afternoon in his office. Is that what this was about? It must be.

Is there a problem?I asked Vincent to confirm.

I apologize Mrs Acland but the details of the meeting are going to be between the two of you. I cannot comment on it,he told me.

It’s Ms Towers, I corrected him.
