Just then, the phone on Alice’s desk rang. 

It was a call from HR. 

The person on the other end went on for a while. Alice frowned. “Understood.” 

Noticing Alice’s gloomy expression, Janice asked cautiously, “Is there an issue with the hiring?” 

The HR had been on their best behavior recently.

Janice wiped her tears and hurried to catch up. 

Ruby had spent the whole day fielding complaints from shareholders and had no time to watch over Michael.

She sent Chloe a message, then prepared to go find her in person.

“Ms. Spencer.” 

“Yeah?” 

“The Spencer Couple… I mean, your parents are coming back to Chanaea.” 

Alice had known that already. 

She was, after all, a top–tier hacker.
