She took out her phone and looked at her friends list on WhatsApp, clicking on a contact in “Favorites“. It had been three days, and that man with the surname Shelton hadn’t messaged her. 

After opening the chat box, Samantha smiled and sent a cute emoji. 

At the Snider Group, Dwayne drove Ash to the ground floor and then sent a message to Calvert: [Your fiancee is downstairs. Come and pick her up.] 

After that, he pointed at the entrance of the company. “This is where Calvert works. You can just go in.” 

He had seen their fighting abilities with his own eyes, so in this situation, it was better for him to leave first to avoid being accidentally hurt. 

Ash nodded and walked directly toward the Snider Group building. 

“Miss, wait a minute,” the receptionist on the first floor called out to her. “What are you doing here?” 

“I’m here to see Calvert Snider,” Ash replied. 

The receptionist, Kamari Witt, sized up the woman standing before her. Ash was dressed in a simple T–shirt and jeans, exuding an ethereal charm with her clear eyes and strikingly beautiful face. She looked like a college student fresh out of school. 

Kamari couldn’t help but wonder if this woman had come to make an impression on Calvert. 

Feeling a twinge of regret, her tone lost its earlier politeness as she asked, “Do you have an appointment?” 

“No,” Ash replied. 

Upon hearing this response, the smile on Kamari’s face vanished completely. Though the woman’s clothes were clean and tidy, there were no visible brand labels, and her shoes were just simple canvas sneakers. It was clear she wasn’t wealthy. Kamari became more convinced that her earlier guess was correct. 

Ignoring her, Kamari turned around and returned to her desk. 

Ash frowned slightly and remained polite. “Could you please tell me where Calvert Snider is?” 

“There are at least 800 people who want to climb into our CEO’s bed just because they have a good–looking face.” Kamari sneered, her tone dripping with disdain. 

She didn’t even glance at Ash and spoke with a tone full of sarcasm, “I’ve seen many people like you. Rather than wasting time trying to inquire about our CEO’s whereabouts, you’d be better off finding someone else. He’s selective and doesn’t just accept anyone.” 

“What do you mean?” Ash’s eyes turned cold. She thought that the people in Calvert’s company were as annoying as he was. “Don’t you understand?” Kamari rolled her eyes at her. “Let me remind you out of kindness. Mr. Snider has a fiancée. She’s Miss Jade Turner from the Turner family. If she finds out about what you’ve done, she’ll definitely make 

you 

suffer.” 

In the past few years, Jade had often made excuses to come to the Calvert’s office to see him, and from time to time, she treated the staff to afternoon coffee, becoming quite familiar with the receptionists.

Ash looked annoyed as she thought it unlucky to encounter such a receptionist. She even started to wonder if Calvert doing it on purpose. 

Not wanting to waste more words with her, Ash turned and prepared to leave. 

“Hello, Mr. Snider.” Kamari suddenly changed her expression, putting on a standard smile filled with respect 

Ash turned around and saw Calvert’s perfect handsome face.
