Calvert studied her expression intently. Her gaze was calm and her tone was firm, showing no signs that she was putting on 

an act 

If not for the evidence in his hands, Calvert would have believed her. 

This woman was so scheming. It seemed he should let her interact less with his grandmother in the future. 

Seeing him fall silent, Ash thought he had understood her explanation. She continued, “Shadow Ventures is currently competing for the land of the former Riverstone’s Commercial Area. That piece of land is useless to the Snider family, so I hope you can quit.” 

Calvert sneered. No wonder she said such things earlier. It turned out she was here to persuade him for her lover.
