Chapter 320 

Aurelia was genuinely stunned. 

She never would’ve guessed that Sean was actually Darren’s older brother. 

There hadn’t been a single word about this in any public news. 

It seemed Sean was the Keith family’s undisclosed branch, quietly hidden away from the world. 

For a powerful family to secure their position, they always had to cultivate their own influence. 

Whether it was in the shadows or out in the open, it was all the same to them. 

Darren poured Aurelia a cup of coffee, his voice full of concern. “You weren’t too freaked out, were you?” 

“No,” Aurelia said, shaking her head. 

As Aurelia took the coffee, she caught sight of another cup on the coffee table, which was half–finished. 

‘Someone must’ve just left, Aurelia thought. 

“After all, you were trained by that guy. There’s no way you’d be scared that easily,” Sean said. 

By “that guy,” Sean was referring to Cassian. 

Aurelia just kept quiet. 

Sean didn’t push the topic any further. Instead, he brought up Juliana. “The Keith family owes you an apology for this. Ms. Corin. If you ever need a favor, just let me know.” 

With that, he handed Aurelia his business card. 

Aurelia figured this was probably the real reason Sean had come to see her. 

So she didn’t hesitate and accepted the card graciously. 

After sitting for a bit, Aurelia got up to say her goodbyes. 

Sean arranged for a bodyguard to escort her out. 

When Aurelia came out, the man and woman from earlier were still waiting for her. 

The man saw that she was safe and finally let out a long breath of relief. 

Aurelia just gave them a brief nod and headed out. 

“Hey, you still haven’t told me your name,” the man called out, catching up to her. 

Aurelia still had no intention of answering. It was just a chance encounter after all. 

As soon as she stepped out of the casino, she spotted Miranda and Walter, who were searching for her. 

Aurelia immediately called out to them and hurried over. 

The man who’d been trailing her finally stopped in his tracks. Once he saw Aurelia reunite with her friends, he shouted. “My name is Justin. J–U–S–T–I–N.”

He wasn’t sure if Aurelia had heard him, but he still hoped she’d remember his name. 

Miranda asked Aurelia. “Was that a romantic encounter?” 

Aurelia looked up at the sky, exasperated. “How many romantic encounters do you think happen in real life: Be realistie And for the record, we shouldn’t pick up guys off the street. 

Miranda replied casually, “Oh.” 

As they walked Aurelia back to her room, Miranda and Walter filled her in on what had happened with Tyson. 

He’d actually planned a whole confession scene, but it all fell apart when Aurelia went missing. 

Tyson probably realized Aurelia was avoiding him on purpose. He was pretty down about it, drank a ton, and ended up 

wasted. 

His secretary had to take him back to his room. 

Mia wasn’t wrong. Aurelia was so rational now that it was almost scary. 

To protect Regal Investment and InquireMind. this was the only way she could go. 

Early the next morning, Aurelia asked Miranda to bring Tyson a glass of honey lemon water to help him sober up. 

He couldn’t hold his liquor, so he was definitely going to have a killer headache after last night. 

It wasn’t long before Miranda came back, with a strange look on her face. 

Aurelia asked her what was up. 

Miranda hesitated, then mumbled that she’d seen Tyson’s secretary slipping out of his room, trying not to be seen. 

She was still in last night’s clothes, and her hair was a wild mess. 

Miranda knocked and had to wait a long time before Tyson finally opened the door, looking really awkward. 

And there were some pretty obvious hickeys on his neck. 

Aurelia wasn’t fazed by the gossip at all. She just told Miranda, “Check out his secretary’s background later.” 

Anything else was fine, as long as the secretary wasn’t some corporate mole. 

Miranda was fuming. “Seriously, how could Tyson do that? Didn’t he say he liked you? And now he’s hooking up with someone else?” 

“People are just complicated. Tyson and I were never a thing, so he can make whatever choices he wants,” Aurelia said. 

“Even if we were together, it’s not like people always stay faithful. Aren’t I a good example? Just don’t stress about it.” Aurelia added 

Miranda was lost for words. 

She noticed that whenever Aurelia brought up her seven–year relationship now, she seemed completely at ease, like she’d finally let it go. 

Miranda couldn’t tell if that was a good or bad thing. 

But after what happened with his secretary, Tyson started dodging Aurelia on purpose. On the way back, he even went out of his way to avoid sharing a ride with her.

To save money, Miranda booked a late–night flight. 

Thankfully, no one was bothered. 

By the time they landed in Ashmont, it was already one in the morning. 

As soon as they left the airport, reporters waiting outside blocked their way, insisting on interviewing Aurelia.

Just when the reporters thought their night was a bust, someone suddenly shouted, “That looks like Tessa! She’s trying to escape the country.” 

In an instant, a swarm of reporters rushed straight toward Tessa. 

The arrival hall erupted into chaos. 

The reporters who’d been crowding around Aurelia seconds ago all scrambled away in the other direction. 

Aurelia, who was never one for gossip, found herself looking over when she heard the reporters shouting about Tessa trying to flee the country. 

Tessa was so heavily disguised that all one could see were her nostrils. Aurelia wondered how those reporters even recognized her. 

Honestly, Aurelia couldn’t have picked Tessa out of the crowd herself. 

Tessa never thought the reporters would actually discover her. 

She was indeed planning to leave the country. 

But she wasn’t running away. She was just heading out to look for Cassian. 

The pressure in Ashmont was crushing her. She just couldn’t take it anymore. That was why she booked a red–eye, hoping to dodge the press. 

She even chose to ride the elevator from arrivals up to departures, just to stay under the radar. 

But even with all her careful planning, the reporters still managed to catch her. 

When the crowd of reporters rushed in and surrounded her, Tessa was left completely dumbfounded. 

‘How did they manage to anticipate my every move?‘ Tessa wondered, totally baffled. 

It wasn’t until Tessa spotted Aurelia standing not far away through the crowd that her gaze turned icy, and she clenched her jaw so hard she thought she might break a tooth from sheer hatred. 

‘Ugh. it’s Aurelia again, Tessa fumed to herself. ‘Why is it always her? Why does she always have to mess up my plans?‘ 

Aurelia only lingered for a moment before heading out of the airport. 

She had no clue what kind of mess Tessa ended up in with those reporters. 

The next morning, the news was all over the place. 

But instead of headlines about Tessa fleeing the country, the story turned into Tessa caught meeting her fiancé in the middle of the night.

It turned out Tessa was actually there to pick up Cassian. 

Cassian was still backing Tessa up, publicly promising he’d clear things up for everyone. 

Aurelia was honestly curious about how he planned to handle the mess. 

Aurelia left work an hour early to visit Benjamin at the Locke residence. 

It was something she’d promised to do. 

But she hadn’t expected to run into Cassian there as well. 

Honestly, he should’ve been busy dealing with Tessa’s mess right now. 

It was unbelievable that he actually had time to come home. 

However, the vibe between Benjamin and Cassian felt a little off. 

Aurelia had no intention of sticking her nose in. She just wanted to drop off the stuff and make a quick exit. 

But Benjamin stopped her. “Aurelia, does what you said before still stand? You promised you’d start thinking about your personal life once the company was running smoothly.” 

Aurelia was stunned into silence. 

‘Why is he bringing this up out of nowhere?‘ Aurelia thought. 

She had agreed back then, and backing out now would be awkward, so she steeled herself and said, “Of course, I meant it.” 

“Alright then, I’ve picked out a fresh batch of potential matches for you,” Benjamin said, pulling a stack of photos from his drawer. Just like last time, he laid them out one by one for Aurelia to check out. 

Cassian sat quietly off to the side, keeping to himself and staying out of their conversation. 

Aurelia had no idea what she was even looking for, just mindlessly flipping through the photos one by one like a robot. 

Benjamin glanced over at Cassian. “Come on, Cassian, don’t just sit there. Help Aurelia pick someone out.”
