“Wow,” Ford snorted, “tell us how you really feel, Gully.”
“I feel like I keep fucking repeating myself. I said the vows. I meant the vows. Why does nobody believe me?”
“Because you told her it was real and it wasn’t,” Glenn commented dryly.
“It was real.”
“Legal then. You told her it was legal. You made her think it was the real thing, and you went so far as to fake a certificate.” Glenn continued. “I’d have shot you for less.”
Gulliver frowned, “can I admit that I’m glad it was the January of then who found out and not the January of now? I mean I missed her for all that time but at least I still have my balls. I feel she would have ripped them off if I would do such shit to her now.”
“I wish there was video of how she beat up Duchess,” Glenn commented.

here,” Gulliver tapped the tip of the bat to Davis’s head, “getting ready to extract information from the inside of this thing.”
“Do you know what would be fun” Ford said suddenly.
“We are not doing a drive–thru run right now for burgers,” Gulliver rolled his eyes.
“That would be fun, but I was thinking, what if we gave Davis here a look inside the brain of his braindead followers? We can start with him.” He pointed to the other man hanging next to Davis and Baldy and then the bat. “Let’s use that to open his head and then I can get my scalpel, and we can feed it to Davis.”
Gulliver let the bat fall to his side to rest at his thigh and he gave Ford a confused look, “what the fuck is wrong with you?”
“I was doing a necropsy yesterday on a horse. It’s on my mind and then you said burgers and it escalated. It’s still fun.” He jumped onto the chair Gulliver had been standing on and was eye level with Davis, “we could let you taste what true devotion is and you could tell us if it’s sweet or bitter?”
Gulliver couldn’t help the chuckle which bubbled from his chest at the words and the way the man who was gagged and being threatened with a violent death of his head being bashed in and fed to his leader began to thrash.
“You’re sick,” Davis gasped out through the pain he was feeling.

“We’re only getting started on how sick we can be.” Gulliver moved to the thrashing man and reached up to rip the duct tape off his mouth. “You have thirty seconds to tell me something useful or you’re going to be force fed to Davis.”
“The judge who signed off on the warrants is his uncle,” he kicked his feet in Baldy’s direction, “on his mother’s side.”
“Slightly helpful, but we’d already gotten this information and shared it with internal affairs. Try again,” Gulliver let the bat trail noisily on the floor. He looked at Glenn suddenly as the bat screeched, “January would like this.”
“She should be here. You fucking sent her home.”
“Because Duchess is on the loose and I want her surrounded by four fucking walls, a fortress, a shit ton of men and not out in the

“Duchess Ziogas was making phone calls with Davis’s phone, and he was complaining and asked us to get her a burner phone. We didn’t deliver it yet because you grabbed us before we could meet up.” The struggling man called out.
“Now we’re getting somewhere,” Gulliver pointed the bat in his direction. “Glenn, where is Davis’s phone?”
“Gave it to IT to work on.”

Davis’s laughing made Gulliver turn back to him. “Something funny?”
“Duchess has friends on the outside.”
“Do you think so?” Gulliver questioned seriously. “You really think she has friends on the outside? She doesn’t have friends, Davis. She has contacts who for the most part are either in my pocket or under my surveillance. If she goes to any of them, I’ll know. We’ll get her.” He moved back in front of him. “You scared my wife. You made her terrified of me. You told her lies and embellished truths and made her think you were trustworthy. You also scared her and our child by using this fucker. You scared my wife, Davis.”
“You won’t kill me. Everyone will know who did it. Will they? Davis, you left New York with two known mobsters who were not known for being kind. You were last seen in a car sitting between them in the back seat. You gave them weapons. You gave them phones. You gave them freedom. They didn’t give you loyalty. Duchess was using your phone to set you up. You made this a cakewalk for me. I don’t even need to do anything except make sure your face is on a few traffic cams looking scared. How many people,” he gave a pointed look at the bald man swinging, “were in on your plan to seduce my wife? How many watched the videos with you? How many supported you doing this?” he stared at Davis who refused to speak. “Nothing to say? Well then, it’s time for me loosen your tongues.” He looked at Ford and tossed him the bat. “Do your worst, brother.”
