174 Another unpleasant encounter

JASMINE’S POV 1

“If we inform the bank about what we’ve found, they will flag the account and inform Keith of what’s happening since he’s the owner. I don’t know why, but he has been acting strange lately. Trying to sabotage our divorce. Asking for joint custody when I know he knows damn well he doesn’t care about Tony. If he finds out now about Diana lying to him he might try something else knowing I plan to use this as evidence to annul his joint custody request. It’s better if he doesn’t know until the day of the hearing, so it all comes crashing down at one time,” I explained.

I didn’t want any surprises from him anymore. He could then focus on whoever was after him then.

Louis considered what I told him for a second.

“Alright then, let’s wait for the hearing,” Louis then said to me he then studied my face for a moment. “You still look nervous though.”

“I’m trying not to be but I am,” I said to him.

“What else is on your mind?” he asked me.

“I’m worried something might go wrong at the hearing. I’m going attempt to expose Diana but she’s working with this person we still don’t know much about. Whom we also know is watching us. How do we know they won’t try anything to protect Diana? This whole time they have been helping her frame me and covering up her actions behind the scenes it seems. I’m just worried something might come up,” I told Louis my fear.

Louis considered my fear for a moment.

“I understand. Well, the evidence we have is hard so quite frankly would be impossible to refute,” Louis started. “We have the hard evidence that proves it came from the bank and we got the call that shows Diana called to have you fired. I’ll be there with you so don’t worry”

“You plan on coming with me?” I asked him, surprised.

“Of course, we’ll see this through to the end together,” he assured me as he gave me a comforting smile.

I returned the smile.

“So when you present the evidence in court and everything comes out you’ll have to explain to Keith our findings on this person who is after him how do you plan to go about it?” Louis explained.

“Well, we will give him all the information we have collected so far and it’s Diana I anticipate to answer for everything since she will be cornered,” I said.

“Okay,” Louis said.

“I can’t wait-” I started. “-I can’t wait to be done with it all so I can move on from this and focus on Tony.”

“We’ll get through it,” he told me.

The following day Louis, Tony and I went to the boxing gym for our second weekend lesson.

Louis as usual was training on his own whilst Tony and I were training with Coach

Freeman.

Tony punched the dummy that was in front of him. Making no unnecessary movements and swiftly punched the dummy several times in succession.

“Yes, Anthony perfect,” Coach Freeman complimented Tony who literally made little to no mistakes. He was a natural at this.

I too punched the dummy in front of me on the right side of the boxing ring. Freeman had us training on dummy’s either side of the ring.

“Ms Towers, form is better today but stand a little straighter as you go in for the attack,” she advised me.

“Yes, coach,” I replied. I couldn’t wait to do it perfectly too.

After about an hour of training we took a break. Ms Freeman said we had ten minutes and we would resume to finish the rest of our 2 hour session.

“Mum,” Tony then said to me in a worried tone and I looked down at him, concerned.

“Whats wrong?” I asked.

I noticed his gaze was focused on something behind me. I turned around to see what

he was staring at and my eyes widened in horror. I immediately got in front of Tony protectively.

It was Keith.

He was standing outside the boxing ring as he watched us.

He then began clapping his hands. “Those are some really good boxing moves both of you,” he commented. How long had he been watching us?

My eyes instantly narrowed at him. I was doing everything to stay away from this man and massively keep my distance and he still found a way to disturb my peace.

“Go to Louis,” I told Tony as I stared down at him momentarily.

He nodded and left the ring, going toward Louis.

Turning back to Keith I saw his eyebrow was raised as he watched Tony leave.

“Keith, what is this obsession with you, lately?” I asked him irritatedly as I went towards him. “How did you know to find me here? Are you stalking me?”

He stared at me without saying a word for a moment as I continued glaring at him.

KEITH’S POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing so I could get ready for work.

As I sat up on the bed I looked beside me and found Diana peacefully lying next to me. My eyes glanced from her face all the way to her belly and my facial expression stiffened.

I then got up from my bed and went to shower in the bathroom. I was still trying to process the fact that Diana was pregnant. I felt everything was happening way too quickly. She was going around telling her friends about it and close groups around me were congratulating me.

Meanwhile, the first hearing to Jasmine and I’s divorce settlement was in less than two weeks. My mind is scrambled as I try to process the two things I have to now deal with.
