At the end of the day, it was all Jade’s fault. She was too ambitious in the wrong way. In the end, she was biting off more than she could chew. 

Ash smiled and said gently, “Mom, this has nothing to do with you. You do not have to feel sorry for me or feel that you did not do a good job.” 

“Whether it is Jade or someone else, I will not let anyone off easily if they meant harm to me. The reason why I did not find fault in Jade is because she has been nice and respectful to you for more than ten years. 

“So do not apologize to me anymore. You, Dad, and the boys have already treated me well enough. Our family will still be together for a long time. In the future, we will create new happy memories for the happiness we missed.” 

With just a few words, Brooke’s originally gloomy mood gradually brightened. She hugged her daughter gently as tears glistened in the corners of her eyes. “My dearest Ash, my good dughter, don’t worry. From now on, I will not allow anyone to wrong you.”

Ash raised an eyebrow. “I did not expect you to remember what said so clearly. Looks like Caspian does care about me. Although it may sound a little strange regarding this matter.” 

“What nonsense are you talking about? Why should I care about you? It is just that I have a good memory. I do not think that remembering something clearly is equivalent to being caring. You are overthinking it,” Caspian retorted. 

Ash didn’t think much of what Caspian said. She gave a faint “ol and ignored him. 

She thought that setting a person’s anger on fire and leaving that person hanging there after that was a fatal blow.
