The HR director clicked her tongue and thought, “The company’s financial situation can’t be worse now. It isn’t a wise move to spend a large sum to build a new team.‘” 

Ash looked up with a cold and indifferent expression. “Any other questions?”

“Here’s the thing, Ms. Turner. Maybe… the company’s funds can’t keep up.” The HR director thought about it and expressed her point of view. “I think the board of directors won’t agree to build a team now.” 

Although the HR director knew Ash’s identity, she believed the headquarters would not let Ash do whatever she wanted. 

Ash’s voice was low and hoarse. She was not in a good mood. “I’ll be responsible for this. You only need to help me build a team.” 

“Okay, Ms. Turner.” The HR director knew she shouldn’t say anything else at this point. She agreed gently and left the office. 

Not long after the HR director left the office, a few assistants in the CEO’s office swarmed over. “Maida, what did Ms. Turner say? What did Ms. Turner mean?”

Maida felt a headache coming on. “This task is the first job assessment Ash has given me after taking office. If I failed to build the team well, would I be able to keep my job?‘ 

Vanessa passed behind the group of people. Everyone was in a heated discussion and did not notice her walking past them. Vanessa walked straight to Ash’s office. 

As soon as she pushed the door open and entered, she saw Ash flipping through the documents with a serious expression. Vanessa asked, “Ms. Turner, have you decided on the Triple–A Game?” 

Ash said, “Yeah, the Snider Group will take the lead, and we’ll support them. We won’t lose out because the two companies will go fifty–fifty on the profits. However, we have to support them well. This is a golden opportunity.” 

Ash had just finished reading the financial statements for the last quarter. It was surprising that the Turner Group had not announced the bankruptcy of Funtime Games. Funtime Games earned no profit the previous

“Why do they want to work with us? They can call for bids if they want a partner.” Vanessa doubted, thinking there must be a good reason for such a big company to work with Funtime Games, which was on the verge of bankruptcy. 

Ash was silent for a moment before looking out of the window. “Because he’s my fiance. It should be reasonable for him to do me a favor.” 

Vanessa seemed to have unintentionally heard some breaking news. She silently shut her mouth and nodded quietly. 

Ash originally wanted to find other reasons, but a lie had to be covered up with countless lies. She didn’t have the mood to fabricate another lie. 

Ash said, “That’s the general situation. Next Monday, we will meet and talk about our current goals. I have an idea that I want to share. I’ll perfect the plan.” 

‘Ms. Turner only gives me two months. Vanessa thought, ‘I must do my job perfectly well.’
