193 I need you alive

JASMINE’S POV

It wasn’t going to be like that time in Kensington. I wouldn’t let him get away. He charged at me again, his movements faster than before. It was like the fight between Louis and Keith. I didn’t panic, though, just carefully watched his movements, following the training from both Louis and Freeman.

I blocked his punch with my arms by diverting it since I couldn’t fully stop it. Then I extended my leg and kicked him.

He groaned and staggered before I kicked him again straight in the head. He almost stumbled and fell. Before I could throw a punch he managed to grab my arm and turn my body around. He then picked me up with my back against his chest. I wriggled around trying to free myself.

He then moved me forward. My eyes widened as I realized he was aiming to throw me down the stairs.

I used my feet to kick against the railing of the stairs, using the entire force of my body. He backed into the nearest wall and groaned. With his grip kissed I freed myself from his hood. he was forced to let me go.

Then suddenly he waved something at me and threw it in my face. It was like a cloud of dust being thrown in my face. Immediately I began to choke as I waved his hand away from me.

My vision became blurry and my eye itches my throat was dry and I felt a burning sensation. A deafening scream escaped me as the agonizing sensation coursed through my body.

“Mum!” I heard Tony scream as he peered down from the higher level of the stairs he was on. “I’m coming!”

My eyes widened and I grew worried. “No, Tony stay back!” I cried out.

His footsteps continued to come down though.

My assailant then kicked me down the stairs. I tried to land on my feet but ultimately failed to do so. Landing on the leg I sprained weeks before and draining it again. The force with which I hit the floor in the level space between the stairs put my body in shock.

“Mum no!” Tony screamed again.

“Tony stay away please!” 1 begged him in a weak, hoarse voice. I doubted he heard me.

It took a moment for the shock to pass and then the pain of all my injuries hit me like a truck. I couldn’t even scream out. My vision became blurred, and the world seemed to be spinning. I tried to get up but found it extremely difficult.

The man groaned in pain and released Tony. After this, Tony followed up by stomping on the man’s foot.

“Ah! you little –” he yelled as Tony flew past him and went down the stairs towards

me.

“Mum!?” he cried out in a panic. “mum are you okay he asked full of concern bus hands touched my

cheek.

“Tony run..” I tried to order him.

“I can’t leave you,” he said worried as his eyes nervously scanned my body.

I was desperate forhim to get away and run far from here. I wished he would stop concerning himself with me and run. I still couldn’t move as whatever he’d made me breathe in was rendering me more and more weak.

Suddenly the sound

“Ive had enough of both of you and all your tricks,” he complained.

“Let me go! Tony fought against his grip. The man then grabbed a cloth from his pocket and placed it over Tony’s mouth and nose.

“Tony, no…” was all I could muster to say as my arm weakly stretched out trying to reach for him. My body fought to get up from the floor as I watched horror unfolding before me. The man held down my son making him breathe in from the suspicious

cloth.

Within moments Tony stopped resisting and his eyes closed.

As I was overcome with panic, I could only glare at him as it felt like every part of my body was shutting down.

He then put Tony down so he leaned against the stairway railings and then came toward me.

“He’s not dead by the way,” he told me. “You still with us Jasmine?” he asked as he knelt

beside me.

My weak gaze averted to him.

“Don’t worry. You won’t die, I still need you alive after all. You’re what’s making your husband tick right now,” he said.

“Le…let him go,” I uttered, my voice barely a whisper. My eyes were fighting to stay open as I glared at him.

Then my phone suddenly began to ring, vibrating in my suit pocket.

“Well, who could that be?” he asked. The man reached into my pocket and took it out. “Well look at that,” he said as he turned the phone so my barely open eyes could see. I couldn’t read the name written “speak of the devil and he will appear,” the man continued. “let pick it up so he’ll find you.”

He then placed the phone on my lap. Then he went to Tony, picked him floor, and placed him over his shoulder.

“Jasmine!” I heard a familiar male voice yell my name through the phone. “Jasmine!” The last thing I saw was that man leaving with Tony over his shoulder. My eyes were unable to stay open any longer, closed shut. And against my will, I lost consciousness.
