198 She’s my wife 

LOUIS‘ POV 1 

The receptionist told me where all the bodyguards and Jasmine were. I rushed to the rooms where I found all eight of Jasmine and Tony’s bodyguards in the four rooms located in two rooms each room. I went into each room and took a glance at it. I found out they had already been attended to by the doctors and stabilized. 

All of them were unconscious and had physical injuries. I was appalled by the state they were in as I worried about what they had gone through. 

I received a briefing from one of their doctors about their condition and what had occurred. I was relieved to know they would all be fine with medication and rest. 

Once I was fine talking to the doctor, I turned to the bodyguards I had come with and asked them to call for the unconscious bodyguard’s family members so they were aware of the situation and they could come to see them. 

I then went toward Jasmine’s room which was just in the corner ahead. As I approached two bodyguards blocked my path. 

“We can’t let you enter,” they told me. 

“What are you doing? I’m here to see Jasmine! 

“We’ve been instructed not to let anyone through,” one explained. 

“I am Louis Carrington! I’m her boyfriend let me through! 

I saw one of the three go inside the room. A little while later Keith came out of the 

room. 

“Keith what are you doing?!” I asked him he came toward me. The bogybuards gave me space when he neared me. “Let me see her!” I yelled. 

“You’re not family,” he told me. 

“I’m her boyfriend and she’s my employee,” I told him. “That’s more than enough reason for m to see her. In any case, you can’t stop me,” I told him. 

“Well as her husband I can authorize who I can let see her and who I don’t want to,” he told me.

“Husband?” I said hysterically, almost laughing. “You’re getting a divorce…” 

His narrowed blue eyes continued to glare at me. “But legally it still applies,” he replied pointing out they were still a couple. 

“Are you ignoring the fact that she has a protective order against you!?” I yelled in disbelief. 

“The protective order is for my son,” he told me. 

“Exactly then why do you have custody of your son?” I pointed it out to him. 

Keith’s eyebrows raised in surprise. “What are you talking about?” 

Which caused me to be confused. 

“Don’t YOU have Anthony?” Keith asked me. 

“No, he was with Jasmine at the time. You didn’t find Tony when you found Jasmine?” I asked recalling Mr Tindsor had 

“No…” he replied. 

Worry filled me as I took out my phone. “Mr Tindsor from the Cleaver food distribution said they didn’t see him either. But I know Jasmine collected 

“So you’re saying…,” Keith started. 

“….They took him,” I said. “That must have been the whole reason behind the attack 

“Did you go through the documents Jasmine and I sent to you after the court hearing 

“What?” he asked confused and I was stunned by his cluelessness.

“Ive been dealing with a lot of things in the last couple of days,” he told me. 

“I bet you have,” I snarkily replied as I considered that he must have been dealing with.. The Diana and Marco situation and his humiliating defeat during the court hearing. “Someone’s after you Keith.” 

“What?” he asked. 

“Exactly that. Someone’s after you,” I repeated. “And your mistress is working directly 

with them. 

Diana?” he asked again.

“Who do you think helped her change the bank statements of Jasmine’s account?” I 

told him. 

“How do I know I can trust what you’re saying or the information you’ve presented,” he 

asked. 

I looked through the window of Jasmine’s room. 

“I would definitely lie to you since I have no loyalty to you. However, I would never put her in danger. And thus involves her,” I explained. “I want to see her.” 

Keith followed my gaze before he turned back to look at me. 

“Look, Mr Carrington I appreciate you coming here and sharing this information with me,” he said through gritted teeth and I could tell he didn’t mean any of that. “However, the doctor has confirmed my wifes condition to be fine and I will now handle her care as well as finding my son. So you can leave.” 

My mouth was agape as I stared at him in utter disbelief for a moment. 

“She’s fucking unconscious! You can’t make these decisions on her behalf!” I yelled at how insane he sounded.”I’m going in to see her,” I told him before stepping forward. He stood in front of me and tried to block me from going inside. 

I forcefully pushed past him, toppling him but he quickly regained his balance. 

He shoved me hard in the opposite direction. I managed to prevent myself from falling and quickly straightened my body. 

“I already beat you once and I’ll do it again,” Keith threatened me. 

My hands curled into fists at my side. I hadn’t forgotten the humiliating time he had beaten me in boxing. 

“Oh 

my gosh, what’s happening there?” I heard some people in the distance say as they looked over at us. 

“It looks like a fight.” 

“Should we call security?” 

“Keith, what are you planning to do?” I asked him wondering what his goal was. “You can’t keep her away from me.” 

His eyes remained focused on me for a moment before turning back to me.

“It’s Chairman Acland to you. Show some respect,” he snapped at me. 

“Respect is earned,” I clapped back. 

“She’s injured and she needs intense medical care as her legal partner I can have responsibility over her as she heals,” he barked. 

“Was this after your relationship with your mistress failed or before that, you feel so free to fully involve yourself with Jasmine now?” I asked him. 

The expression on his face changed to something dark. His eyes were once again threatening. 

“What? struck a nerve?” I asked proud of my insult towards him. He was the one who started it. 

“You really don’t have a filter do you?” he asked annoyed.
