Chapter 320 

“Huh?” Itzel was getting nervous. “Hey, I was just kidding. You didn’t actually believe me, did you?” 

She snuck a peck outside. The figure caught in the middle of a raging windstorm was so obscured that she couldn’t even sell if it was a man or a woman. Itzel swallowed hard, 

She might be a woman, but she wasn’t stupid. 

Someone that powerful? No way she could mess with them. 

“Tch, what a coward,” Rebecca scoffed. 

Itzel was fuming. “Alright, alright, you’re the brave one. Why don’t you go try it yourself?” 

She gave Rebecca a once–over, her face full of mockery. 

“Listen, with that She–Hulk build of yours, it’d take a guy with some seriously messed–up preferences to be into you.” Itzel sneered. 

“You,” Rebecca snapped. 

Rebecca had the physique of a bodybuilder, muscular and powerful, but her face was downright adorable, almost doll–like, and her voice was soft and gentle. 

She had a doll–like face paired with a full–on She–Hulk physique. 

Itzel’s description couldn’t have been more accurate. 

As the argument between the two women was about to get out of hand, Grim finally spoke up. 

“Cut it out, both of you. Neither of you stands a chance. That’s a woman out there,” Grim said. 

“Wait, what?” Frank blinked, totally lost. 

“I think I saw her for a second, long hair, and she was wearing a dress,” Grim explained. 

Itzel looked skeptical. “Grim, are you serious? Who would wear a dress in this kind of hellhole?” 

She looked out the window, but Chloe was already nowhere to be seen. 

Grim shrugged. “Suit yourselves.” 

They thought it was just another ordinary encounter, but to their surprise, they bumped into each other again the very next day. 

The car slowly rolled into the city, which was now nothing but a ghost town. 

“Grim, you really think there’s any supplies left here? Maybe we should just bail,” Itzel said. 

Grim shot her a glare. “Got any better way to find stuff? And don’t forget, your spiritual space is almost out of food.” 

“Yeah, we can’t just sit around and wait to die,” Rebecca chimed in. 

The car slowly made its way down the broken road.

Chapter 820 

This was an upgraded off–road ride, with wheels several times larger than stock, a raised chassis, and heavy–duty suspension thanks to some serious mods. 

Despite the potholes and rough terrain, the ride was surprisingly smooth for everyone inside. 

As soon as they entered the city, all around them were ruined walls, broken skyscrapers, and shops, faint traces of its former glory still lingering in the air. 

“Alright, let’s get out,” Grim said. 

Everyone piled out of the car, and Itzel stashed it away in her spiritual space before they set off on foot. 

“Look, that freak over there!” Rebecca said. 

Everyone turned to look, and sure enough, three tornadoes were swirling around a single figure, sucking up all the locusts and making them vanish into thin air. 

“See? Told you. That’s gotta be a seriously strong space–powered human,” Itzel said. 

Grim’s expression grew wary. “Everyone, stay sharp. Don’t provoke that person.” 

No wonder there were so few locusts around when they first entered the city; someone had already gathered them all up. 

That was actually a pretty clever strategy. 

“Come on, let’s head a bit farther out and collect locusts,” Itzel suggested. 

The locust swarm had been so intense before that they didn’t even dare get out of the car. But now, with a high–level powered human collecting them ahead, there weren’t many left that could attack them. 

It was the perfect chance to score some easy pickings. 

Chloe was enjoying herself collecting locusts when she suddenly realized someone was following her, trying to scoop up whatever she missed. Not wanting to be recognized, she found a mask nearby and slipped it on. 

She just wanted to avoid any unnecessary trouble. 

The place was still a dead city. Chloe headed for the center, checking out building after building, but found nothing useful inside. 

Well, after all this time in the apocalypse, except for canned goods or anything vacuum–sealed, everything else was pretty much spoiled or decayed. 

A few days later, the barren hills in Chloe’s spiritual space were swarming with locusts. 

She deliberately set out bait in one spot, attracting the locusts, and just waited for them to come so she could collect them. 

She ended up gathering nearly all the locusts for miles around into her spiritual space. 

The scavenger team following behind her picked up a good haul, too. 

“Grim, it’s been days now, and that person’s had those tornadoes swirling around her, collecting locusts nonstop. How come 

power never seems to run out?” Itzel asked,

She took a bite of her compressed biscuit and forced it down with a swig of water.

Site only allowed herself a tiny sip, then gingerly tucked the bottle back into her pocket. 

Their team was strong, but they didn’t have a water–powered human. All their water had to be traded for at nearby bases or swagged with other survivors 

Grim exhausted, and con of breath, started eating as well. 

Gris eyes widened in disbelief 

No way, bow is that even possible? How could someone have powers that never run out?” Grim muttered. 

He’d been burning through cores these past few days, but that person hadn’t used a single one, not even once. 

What Grim didn’t realize was that Chloe’s spiritual space had a super energy core. 

It could continuously channel energy into her body. The Spiritual Space System only revealed this to her after she healed Fillipe 

But she had to spend points to get the energy transferred to her. 

Rebecca tossed a compressed biscuit into her mouth and chewed noisily. 

Man, how big is her space anyway? Rebecca muttered, shaking her head. 

For days, everyone just stared as Chloe kept collecting locusts, so many that you couldn’t even count them, like the whole city was getting sucked up. 

“What does she even want with all those supplies?” Rebecca said, baffled. 

Rebecca got a playful flick to the forehead. 

She clutched her head and glared angrily at the skinny guy beside her. 

“Why’d you flick me? Rebecca protested. 

The skinny guy sighed. “Seriously, it’s the apocalypse. Who would ever complain about having too many supplies? If you can stock up now, you never know when you’ll get another shot.” 

Chloe looked up at the sky with a frown. The locusts around her were getting scarce. ‘Guess I’ll have to head out even farther if I want to keep collecting these things, she thought. 

Grim swallowed his compressed biscuit in one go, gunned it, and took off after Chloe. 

The folks in the back, still munching, nearly went flying. 

“Can you at least warn us or something before you gun it?” Rebecca grumbled. 

“Quiet, she’s on the move, Grim snapped. 

Itzel gave Grim a wide–eyed stare. “Grim, are you serious? Chasing after a high–level powered human like that, aren’t we just asking to get ourselves killed?” 

Rebecca rubbed her aching, bread and shot Itzel a side–eye. 

“Such a coward. She’s a high–level powered human, and we’ve been scavenging after her for days. You really think she hasn’t noticed us? Rebecca scoffed.

Chapter 300 

The skinny guy nodded in agreement. 

Yeah, exactly. If she wanted to give us trouble, she would’ve done it already. As long as we don’t get in her way, we should be fine. David said. 

Genting to tag along behind a top–tier powered human and scoop up whatever she missed? That’s rare as hell; it’s not like you get this kind of luck every time you head out. 

Their upgraded off–road vehicle was ten times faster than before, but they just barely managed to stay on Chloe’s tail. 

Chloe deliberately slowed down, and whenever she passed through an area, she had Phantom Zombie pop out of her spiritual space to check things out. 

She was making sure she didn’t leave any supplies behind. 

No food or drinks to be found, but she ended up grabbing loads of daily supplies. 

Big stuff like furniture, appliances, and solar panels, down to the smallest kitchenware, pots, pans, bowls, you name it. 

If it was useful, it went straight into her stash. 

After all, she had a whole base to look after.
