“Damn!” Adelaide was feeling numb all over, so I quickly led her 

to the bathroom. 

Abigail held the toilet and vomited for a while, while Adelaide 

helped her by patting her back and flushing the toilet. 

After vomiting, she started taking off her clothes. “I want to 

take a shower…” 

“Wait, how can you wash like this? Give your family a call first,” 

Adelaide persuaded. 

“No, I’m going to sleep here!” 

Abigail slipped away from Adelaide’s hands like a slippery eel. 

“Don’t open it!” When Adelaide rushed over, it was too late, the 

big canopy above splashed water down, soaking both of them 

completely. 

Adelaide panicked and quickly turned off the water, grabbed a 

towel to cover herself, and dragged the person out of the 

bathroom. 

Abigail was like a clingy band–aid on her. 

Adelaide is now regretting so much, she shouldn’t have agreed 

to drink here. 

At that moment, the doorbell rang. She thought it was the hotel staff delivering something, so she quickly unwrapped Abigail and wrapped herself in another towel before going to open the 

door. 

The moment the door opened, she froze, and Reginald outside 

the door froze even more. 

“Mr. Thorton?” 

The towel wrapped around Adelaide’s upper body, with wet hair sticking to her cheeks, the whole person exuding a messy 

beauty. 

Reginald took a deep breath and felt something strange. He 

asked in confusion, “Are you… taking a shower?” 

Adelaide sighed, “Long story short.” 

As soon as the words fell, there was a sudden thud inside, 

followed by Abigail’s ouch sound. 

The two of them looked into the room together, and saw Abigail 

lying on the ground. 

Reginald’s eyelid was twitching, and he squeezed out his voice 

through his teeth, “Why was she here with you?” 

Adelaide smiled slightly and said, “Mr. Thorton, the story is really long.” 

“Long story short.” 

“Adelaide, I fell down, it hurts so much,” Abigail cried out in distress. 

Adelaide touched her forehead and quickly said to him, “Mr. Thorton, I’ll explain later. Keep the door open, the staff will bring things over.“” 

After saying that, she quickly went to help Abigail. 

Reginald walked in with a black face, saw the wine bottles scattered on the coffee table, then saw Abigail holding Adelaide’s waist, crying with her face buried in her…. 

“She came to drink at your place, why didn’t you tell me?” 

“She just came for a drink, no ill intentions.” 

Reginald didn’t say anything, his handsome face looked even 

more sour. 

Luckily, the hotel staff came quickly with new bathrobes and 

towels. Adelaide took Abigail back to the bathroom, changed 

her out of her soaking wet clothes, and felt like she had just run 

a marathon. 

She was really exhausted, leaning against the door with one 

hand, asking for help from someone outside: “Mr. Thorton, can you come over and give me a hand?” 

Reginald sat there like a rock, “Men and women can’t be 

friends.” 

“We helped each other.” 

“Sorry, I don’t like touching girls.” 

Adelaide was amazing! 

But then Nathan walked in, and when Adelaide saw him, it was 

like she had seen a savior. “Mr. Hurst, you came just in time, I 

really need you!!!” 

Nathan couldn’t help but laugh, he was just called over by the 

boss at the last minute. 

“What did Ms. Pierce want me to help with?” 

“Help me get Ms. Murray out.” 

“Okay, I’m coming!” Immediately, Nathan went into the 

bathroom and directly carried Abigail out horizontally. 

Reginald didn’t look away and said, “Put it on the couch, the 

Murray family will come to pick it up later.”
