Actually, Adelaide purposely stopped on this floor, then she walked down two flights of stairs. 

She was already on edge because she knew Lucas would definitely call Spencer, probably tonight, and Spencer would definitely show up here. 

“Ms. Pierce?” Nathan came out of Reginald’s room and saw Adelaide’s strange expression, “Ms. Pierce, you don’t look too good.“” 

Adelaide pursed her lips and asked, “Mr. Hurst, can I ask how long we’re staying in Eldoria?” 

Nathan was surprised: “Do you have something urgent?” 

She shook her head, “I just ran into Spencer’s friend downstairs.” 

This is not urgent, it’s not a good thing. Nathan said, “Just go in 

and tell Mr. Thorton.” 

Reginald frowned and asked, “Who was it?” 

“Lucas.” 

The Bradshaw family was quite a prominent family in 

Evercrest, Reginald had heard. “Let’s move to a different place. then.” 

About fifty minutes later, Adelaide saw their car drive into a quiet old villa in the middle of the hustle and bustle. 

The butler and the maid stood on both sides, saying, “Welcome home, Mr. Thorton.” 

Adelaide realized, This is Reginald’s own mansion. 

Does he have a place to stay, or is he staying in a hotel? 

Got too much money to burn? 

Nathan noticed what she was thinking, and explained, “Mr. Thorton was afraid that if he brought Ms. Pierce here to stay, she might misunderstand something, so he chose to stay at the hotel. Plus, the hotel is closer to the place where you need to collect materials, Ms. Pierce.” 

Adelaide was taken aback, she suddenly realized why Nathan 

could become Reginald’s unshakable assistant. 

He was really good at reading people, like an X–ray, seeing 

through everyone. 

She pretended to be calm and replied with a smile, “Mr. Hurst, may I be so bold as to ask, how much does Mr. Thorton pay you 

in a month?” 

Nathan obviously didn’t expect her to suddenly ask him this, he cleared his throat and said, “I get paid every six months” 

“No wonder she’s the assistant, even the salary is different from us.” 

…… shouldn’t be any different from “us,” I’m afraid. If Ms. Pierce said she needed money, my Mr. Thorton would happily hand over all our assets. 

Adelaide’s room was arranged on the innermost third floor. She quickly tidied up and then got a call from Nathan, asking her to help with translation. 

So she went to the study. 

I saw Reginald sitting at the desk, the light from his notebook shining in his eyes, reflecting two cold lights. 

For some reason, Adelaide felt a low pressure. 

“Mr. Thorton.” 

“Uh,” Reginald nodded lightly, “The documents are on the coffee 

table, translate them for me.” 

“Okay!” Adelaide turned and sat on the sofa, picking up the file 

full of Swainan. 

She opened her tablet and started translating. 

Not long after, Nathan came in with his coffee. 

He first put down Reginald’s cup, then placed another glass of lemon water on the coffee table in front of Adelaide. “Ms. 

Pierce, here’s your lemon water.” 

Seeing this, Adelaide was puzzled: “I didn’t ask for lemon water.” 

“Um…” Nathan glanced at Mr. Thorton with a polite smile, “I noticed that Ms. Pierce didn’t seem too comfortable in the restaurant just now. Lemon water might be more suitable.” 

Adelaide remembered Reginald saying, Lemons can help with 

nausea. 

Then suddenly remembered the last thing he said. 

Hmm, she seemed to have already known what he meant.
