She casually told Spencer, and now he actually helped her in 

advance. 

If these things hadn’t happened, Adelaide would have been moved to tears, shouting that he was her best brother.

She looked up at him with a blank expression and said, “Spencer, I won’t be moved.” 

Spencer’s face fell suddenly, “Isn’t this the mansion you’ve 

always dreamed of?”

poke for 25–year–old me.” 

“How could it be bubbles, didn’t I already help you achieve it!” Spencer grabbed her arms, “Everything you’ve ever fantasized about, I can make it happen for you. Since you don’t want to go 

abroad, this is our home, just for the two of us.” 

His words just made Adelaide feel scared, she forcefully pushed 

away his hands and took two steps back. 

He was like a prickly hedgehog, full of hostility and alertness

“Adele, don’t be afraid of me.” It was a pleading tone, but 

Adelaide could still see his desire to possess her without any 

disguise. 

Adelaide stared at him with disgust in her eyes until he had no 

choice but to back off. Her palms were sweaty, afraid that he 

might do something impulsive. 

She could only speak as calmly as possible, “Aren’t you afraid of making Mom and Dad really angry if they find out?” 

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” 

“Dad has already been looking for a wife for you, Spencer, wake 

up, I’m your sister!” 

“Amanda is my real sister, not you!” Spencer suddenly looked up, his crimson eyes flashing with fierceness and paranoia. “We have no blood relation, Adele. I don’t want you to just be my sister, I want you to be my wife, and grow old together with 

me.” 

“You are crazy!” Adelaide’s heart was pounding uncontrollably, 

her mind racing. 

If Spencer dared to really do something to her, couldn’t kill him, then she could only kill herself.

talk about some bullshit growing old together!

“Every time I see Garrett holding you and hugging you, thinking 

that he can live in the apartment I bought for you, hearing him 

call you his wife, I just want to kill him! Kill him!” 

“It was so hard, so hard for him to finally disappear from your 

world. I thought I finally had a chance, why would another 

Reginald appear by your side… Adele, if you need a man, I can be your man, why do you still have to look for someone else?” 

Adelaide took a breath, her back against the cold ice wall, not as 

cold as the chill running through her body right now. 

“Adele,” Spencer’s voice was hoarse and cold, slowly 

approaching, wrapping her in his arms. “Don’t reject me, be with 

1. me. Trust me, there won’t be another person in this world who 

understands you like I do.” 

“You let go of me! Let go!” Adelaide’s face was pale, struggling 

desperately. 

“Adele, don’t reject me, please,” Spencer pleaded, holding her 

tightly with both hands. 

Adelaide was confused and just wanted to break free from his 

restraint. Without thinking, she buried her head and bit down 

hard on his shoulder. 

Even with a suit jacket on, she still gave it her all. 

He was pounding his back like crazy. 

Spencer didn’t want to let go, but when he heard her sobbing, he 

softened and ended up giving her a hug. “Adele…” 

Adelaide was shaking all over, with fear, anger, and disgust in 

her eyes.
