“Oh! Garrett!” Amanda’s face was as white as a sheet. 

Garrett held his forehead that was hit, feeling warm liquid 

about to flow through his fingers. But he still said to Adelaide 

out of nowhere, “Adele, I’m fine.” 

Adelaide looked suspicious. 

He’s crazy. 

Amanda was so scared that she was shaking all over, “Wah wah 

wah, Garrett, I didn’t mean to.” 

Garrett gave her a cold look and said, “Not on purpose? Amanda, 

do you have the nerve to say it wasn’t on purpose?” 

“Alright.” Spencer was very unhappy with Garrett’s reckless 

behavior of risking his life to protect Adelaide. 

Seeing her older brother speak, Amanda felt like she had found 

a safe haven, immediately clinging to him like a scared kitten. 

Spencer said coldly, “Let’s pick out the dishes another day, 

Garrett. You go to the hospital to take care of your wound first.”

Garrett was furious, “Is that it? If I hadn’t stepped in on time, it would have been Adele who got hurt! Spencer, you keep saying 

Adele is your sister, then how the hell do you call this treating 

her like a sister?” 

Spencer’s eyes were cold with anger, “Just because you’re going 

to be my son–in–law doesn’t give you the right to speak to me so 

disrespectfully and judge how I do things.” 

Garrett sarcastically said, “Ha, I knew you didn’t see her as a 

sister.” 

As soon as this was said, Spencer seemed to be set free from his 

restraints and lunged forward, grabbing Garrett by the collar. 

This sudden change totally freaked Amanda out. 

“Dude, dude, don’t hit Garrett, he’s still injured.” 

Spencer glared at Garrett and threatened, “Just focus on your 

wedding with Amanda, don’t worry about anything else.” 

“Don’t forget, me and Adele…” 

Garrett hadn’t finished speaking when Adelaide opened the 

mineral water in her bag that she hadn’t drunk yet and splashed 

it on both of their faces. 

The water splashed on their faces, and for now, it put out their 

anger.

Adelaide looked cold and said, “You can argue and fight all you 

want, but don’t drag me into it. I have my own reputation to 

uphold.” 

In the end, she looked at Amanda, who was still scared and

hospital.” 

I walked out of the reception hall, and Adelaide finally took out 

her phone, only to find that the missed call was from Reginald.

running after her and grabbed her arm, pulling her in another 

direction. 

“Spencer, let go of me!”

couldn’t shake off his hand, and alarm bells were going off in

She frantically opened her phone, seeking help from Reginald. 

Who would have thought, Spencer snatched her phone, took a 

closer look, and her face turned even darker. 

“It’s Reginald again.” 

The sound almost squeezed out from between his teeth, lifting 

his eyelids, those eyes were terrifying to the extreme. 

“Adele, why didn’t you listen? Did you really think Reginald 

was sincere to you, like your savior?”
