Garrett clenched his fist and decided to take a shower in the 

bathroom first. 

Sitting there, Adelaide wasn’t idle, she basically scanned the 

surroundings. 

She knew Garrett dared to say that, so he must have been well 

prepared and wouldn’t let her escape so easily from here. 

But even with enough, she had to go all out. 

She walked into the room and grabbed the car keys, then she 

went out from the right side of the balcony, flipped over, and 

landed on the air conditioner unit with her feet. Then, she 

grabbed onto anything she could to help herself and quickly 

landed on the ground. 

She breathed a sigh of relief, Luckily, she enjoys skydiving and 

rock climbing, so these were not difficult for her. 

She ran out of the gate and smoothly got on the car. 

The moment the car door closed, Garrett’s voice exploded on the 

second–floor balcony: “Adelaide!” 

Adelaide gave him a cold look, started the car, and drove off.

Garrett angrily slammed the railing, turned around and ran 

down, and dialed the phone: “Audi car, stop for me!”

The mountain road wasn’t very wide, but Adelaide didn’t slow 

down. 

Garrett remembered all the routes she had taken. She didn’t step 

on the gas pedal along that route. Until she saw two black cars 

coming out from behind, approaching her. 

Adelaide tightened her lips, stared straight ahead, pressed on 

the gas pedal, and gradually pushed it down.

middle of the road.

halfway when Amanda appeared again…

Adelaide had just said one word when Amanda grabbed her 

arms and pulled the person out from inside. 

Out of a subconscious instinct for survival, she climbed out 

with Amanda’s help. 

Both of them fell into the river together. 

The river water spread over her chest. 

Because she was in pain all over, it was hard for her to stand up 

straight. 

Just then, Amanda suddenly lunged at her with a fierce look, 

“Adelaide, you have to die by my hands.” 

Adelaide was shocked for a moment, then stepped back in
