Chapter 200 This Is Illegal 

Ethan said, “We need to bring something for Grandpa.” 

Emily got out of the car when she heard that. 

They headed to the supermarket together and Emily started browsing the gift section. Ethan wasn’t anywhere near her though. 

After she picked out a gift, Emily turned around to look for him. She spotted him grabbing something off a shelf, but she couldn’t tell what it was until he got closer. He was holding a 

box of condoms. 

He didn’t even try to hide it. He just held the box in his hand like he didn’t care if she saw it or not. 

They were getting divorced soon and they hadn’t been intimate for three or four months anyway. So it was pretty obvious the condoms were for Nancy. 

Emily glanced at the box and then looked away. 

When they got to the checkout counter and put everything down, she heard Ethan’s voice behind her. He sounded confused. “Why don’t you grab something you like to eat?” 

Emily didn’t turn around. “I’m good,” she said in a flavoice7:05

Ethan went quiet for a second. He actually wanted to buy her something, but the sad truth was he had no idea what she liked. 

When they arrived at Wilson Manor, Matthew hadn’t eaten dinner yet. He was thrilled when he saw the two of them come in together. He immediately started telling the servants to add more dishes to the table. 

After Matthew finished giving orders, he asked with obvious delight, “What brought you two back to Wilson Manor today?” 

The kids didn’t usually visit unless something was going on. 

The best part was that Emily came back with Ethan today. 

Ethan set down the gifts they’d brought and answered Matthew’s question. “Emily wanted to come see you.” 

Matthew’s whole face lit up. “That’s wonderful! You two are finally getting it. Life’s better when you’re in it together, you know.” 

Emily didn’t say anything. She just turned to look at Ethan, and he looked back at her. He actually smiled, which was rare for him. 

Emily didn’t react to his smile at all.

couldn’t help thinking that maybe his grandson had finally come to his senses. Maybe Ethan realized how good Emily was and wanted to treat her right. 

At dinner, Ethan served Emily food before Matthew even had to tell him to. 

Emily frowned. She had no idea what Ethan was playing at. 

But Matthew was there, so she didn’t say anything. 

Matthew felt relieved when he saw them getting along so well. 

After dinner, Matthew insisted they stay over. “Spend the night here at Wilson Manor. It’s Sunday tomorrow and you two can keep me company.” 

Emily didn’t respond, but Ethan agreed right away, “Whatever you say, Grandpa.” 

Matthew was even happier after Ethan agreed. 

Emily held back all her questions until Matthew went to bed. 

After they went upstairs, Emily stood by the door. She wouldn’t even go inside. “Ethan, what are you doing?” 

She had only come to Wilson Manor because Ethan said he’d found their marriage certificate. She hadn’t come here to put on some show for Matthew.

What was the point of all this acting when none of it was real? 

Ethan saw how angry Emily looked and he smiled a little. He grabbed her arm. “Let’s talk inside.” 

Emily pulled away from him. “I can walk by myself.” 

She stormed inside and sat down on the couch. 

Ethan sat down next to her and turned to face her. “Grandpa has the marriage certificate.” 

Emily froze for a second, but then it clicked. 

Matthew was the only one in the Wilson family who actually wanted her and Ethan to make their marriage work. Of course he’d hide their marriage certificate. He was worried they’d suddenly get divorced. 

After a few seconds of silence, Emily looked at Ethan. “If Grandpa took it, then fine. We’ll just say it’s lost and get a replacement. We can still get divorced.” 

Ethan’s expression darkened when he heard her bring up divorce again. 

But then he spoke calmly, “There’s one more thing.” 

Emily frowned. “What else?”

Ethan leaned back against the couch and said casually, “We need to do it one more time.” 

Emily shot to her feet and snapped at him, “Ethan, you’re being ridiculous.” 

She turned to leave, but Ethan grabbed her arm and pulled her toward him with just enough force to bring her close. 

He leaned in and his breath felt hot against her skin. “You keep saying I only last three minutes. Don’t I need to prove you wrong?” 

Emily leaned back as far as she could and tried to put more distance between them. 

She couldn’t stand to look at his face, so she turned away. “Ethan, it’s too late for any of this. I’m not going to let you do whatever you want anymore.” 

But Ethan didn’t care about her rejection. He grabbed her waist and pulled her into his arms. 

He leaned down to kiss her. 

Emily shoved at him hard and yelled, “Ethan, this is illegal. Do you even realize that?”
