Chapter 211 Take the Cake for Being Oblivious 

Emily was left scratching her head over Alexander’s motives. But being the discreet one, she kept her thoughts to herself. 

Meanwhile, Alexander’s wound was bleeding like a faucet, and Emily knew she had to act fast to stop the flow. 

Swiftly administering first–aid, Emily finally said, “All set. Just remember to change the dressing regularly.” 

She then tidily stowed the medical supplies back into her bag. 

As she lifted her head, Emily caught Alexander’s eyes fixed on her, and she returned the look. 

The intense eye contact made Alexander fidgety. He dropped his gaze to his finger and mumbled, “Is it bad?” 

Rather than answering, Emily blurted out her burning question, “Alexander, what do you want from me?” 

The dining area was sparsely populated. Over by the small amusement corner, just a few feet away, Molly and Tommy were having a whale of a time on the swings and slides.

Emily was utterly confused and furrowed her brows. 

Seeing Alexander wasn’t keen on explaining, she pressed on, “Don’t come to my place anymore.” 

Alexander’s hands balled into fists tightly, and his whole body quivered with rage.

Alexander started to think that maybe he’d been wasting his

Molly nuzzled Emily’s cheek. “Aunt Emily, you’re the best. And Mr. Lessing is great, too. He can draw all sorts of cool stuff, like maple trees and barns. Things I’ve never even seen in real life,” she gushed. 

Emily rested her chin on Molly’s shoulder and whispered, “Do you like him a lot?” 

Molly thought for a moment. “Yeah, but I also like Aaron. He’s 4/7 

super nice too.”
