Aurelia had no idea what was happening in Hall A. 

It was Gideon who told her that when their mentor arrived, he couldn’t find the sign.

Only after Aurelia went outside did she realize that the InquireMind sign had been blocked by HelixTech. They’d deliberately put up a bigger, more eye–catching sign. 

That was seriously dirty play. 

To make sure no more guests got lost, Aurelia moved the sign fifty meters forward. 

She didn’t want to get mixed up in any bad luck. 

Just as she was about to head back, a police officer walked up and asked, “Hey, do you know where HelixTech’s roadshow is?” 

Aurelia hesitated for a second, but still pointed the officer in the right direction. 

On her way back to Hall B, she couldn’t help but wonder why HelixTech had the cops involved. 

‘Is Cassian already greasing the wheels with the police?‘ Aurelia thought to herself. 

As for what was really going on, Aurelia was totally in the dark. 

Back at the venue, she pushed the whole thing out of her mind and focused on her work. 

She was seriously swamped. 

This roadshow was make–or–break for InquireMind’s IPO, and she couldn’t afford a single slip–up. 

When Tyson took the stage, Aurelia stood just below, watching him and silently rooting for him. 

She had to admit, all that rehearsal really paid off. 

Tyson was way less nervous than before. He spoke off the cuff and handled the presentation part smoothly, never once needing his notes. 

He could recite all the stats in his sleep. 

Aurelia breathed a silent sigh of relief, then asked Miranda, “How are the livestream numbers looking?” 

Miranda looked uneasy. 

“What’s wrong?” Aurelia’s heart sank. 

Miranda said, “Our livestream numbers are decent, but… HelixTech is still beating us.” 

Aurelia was pretty shocked. 

HelixTech hadn’t been around for long, and they don’t have much of a fanbase yet. 

Besides, their main audience was industry investors. 

‘So why did Tessa pick a university for the roadshow? I just don’t get it,‘ Aurelia thought. 

‘Thinking back, ever since InquireMind launched, we’ve had both a solid user base and plenty of clients. We even sparked an 

AI craze.’

“There’s no way our numbers should be trailing HelixTech’s. Of course, it’s totally possible HelixTech is just flexing their cash. Let’s face it. In this world, money talks and solves a lot of problems, she thought. 

She was just about to tell them to stop worrying about the competition and just keep their heads in the game. 

But Miranda suddenly got all excited and said, “They’re not just trending on the tech charts. They’re blowing up on the legal rankings too!” 

“What do you mean?” Aurelia was totally lost. 

Aurelia quickly shared a highlight reel from HelixTech’s livestream. 

Since the clip was pretty long, the moment it started, Cassian was already on stage, giving a heartfelt speech to back up Tessa. 

Aurelia glanced at Miranda, completely speechless. 

Miranda just grinned. “Keep watching.” 

Aurelia skipped ahead in the video. 

After Cassian finished his heartfelt speech, Tessa stepped up to the stage, soaking in the thunderous applause. 

She kicked things off with some official opening remarks, then was about to introduce HelixTech’s core business philosophy. 

The presentation slides were already up on the screen. 

But right at the crucial moment, the police arrived on the scene. 

Tessa was caught off guard for a split second. 

Then, to her shock, one of the officers strode right up to the podium, borrowed her mic, and called out, “Excuse me, is Ms. Vanessa Pelosi here? Please stand up.” 

Vanessa had come with Alina. 

She’d only come to make an appearance in the ladies‘ circle, hoping she might get her face known and maybe find a good match for her daughter Karlie. 

The rich ladies were pretty polite to her, mostly out of respect for Alina Rowe. 

She was feeling pretty proud of herself, thinking she’d made the right move coming today, when the cops suddenly called her out. Her face went ghostly pale. 

The officer raised his voice so everyone could hear, shouting, “Vanessa, where are you?” 

Alina nudged Vanessa. 

Vanessa finally shot up from her seat, stammering, “I… I’m here.” 

Two female officers strode over, flashed their badges, and spoke in a chilly, no–nonsense voice, “We suspect you’re connected to two car accidents. We’re taking you in for questioning as per the law. Please cooperate.” 

Vanessa instantly freaked out. “Officer, you must have the wrong person! How could I possibly be involved in a car accident? There’s no way. This has to be a mistake… 

“Vanessa! Please cooperate!” the female officer called out, her voice firm and commanding. 

“Just go with them for now,” Alina said, trying to keep her calm.

Knowing how easily Vanessa could get flustered and say the wrong thing, Alina quickly reassured her. “I’ll be there once this 

is over.” 

She gave Vanessa a warning glance, telling her with her eyes not to say anything she’d regret. 

After that, Vanessa looked like she’d seen a ghost as she was escorted out by the cops. 

And that was where the video ended. 

‘Wow, they really made it onto the legal rankings!‘ Aurelia couldn’t help but be a little shocked. 

But she couldn’t help but wonder, “Why didn’t they just shut down the livestream when that happened?” 

Something this big getting out there could really blow up and cause a huge mess. 

But HelixTech didn’t pull the plug on the livestream. They just let all that bad press keep rolling. 

For HelixTech, this was a fatal crisis. 

Normally, Cassian was not the type to just sit back and let things spiral out of control. 

Aurelia replayed the video and realized Cassian had been glued to Tessa the whole time. 

‘Man, he was so lovestruck he totally forgot to end the livestream, Aurelia thought. 

‘Love is nothing but trouble. It really does a number on people, Aurelia thought. 

Miranda said, “Even after that whole fiasco, their livestream is still packed. Sometimes I seriously wonder if this is some kind of crazy marketing trick.” 

Aurelia was speechless. 

“Wait, is this the sacrifice build?‘ Aurelia wondered. 

‘That’s… definitely one of a kind,‘ she admitted. 

Even though InquireMind’s livestream wasn’t as popular as HelixTech’s, their roadshow still drew a lot of attention. 

Before Tyson had even finished his speech, Liam and his mom came over to find Aurelia. 

“Aurelia, once InquireMind goes public, I’m going to be first in line to buy shares!” Mandy was practically bouncing with excitement. “I’m putting every last bit of my savings into it!” 

Liam burst out laughing. “If you put it all in, are you going to leave me anything for my wedding?” 

“You’re the one getting married, not me. Why should I be the one paying?” Mandy shot back, not even bothering to look at 

him. 

Mandy didn’t even bother with her son and turned to Aurelia, gushing, “This roadshow was absolutely fantastic! Tyson’s speech was amazing. I was genuinely moved!” 

Liam shook Aurelia’s hand, his tone sincere. “Aurelia, congrats! You really pulled it off. InquireMind is only going to get bigger and better!” 

“Thanks,” Aurelia said. 

Right then, Gideon showed up with a bouquet for Aurelia. 

He didn’t forget to add his congratulations, of course.

Mandy nudged Liam with her elbow, shooting him a look like, ‘Ugh, you’re hopeless!” 

‘Everyone else brings flowers, but not him?‘ she thought. 

‘With him being like this, no wonder he can’t get a girlfriend!‘ she couldn’t help but think. 

Liam couldn’t really be blamed. 

He’d just pulled an all–nighter, rushing back from out of town. He barely had time to catch his breath, let alone pick up 

flowers. 

But when he saw Gideon hand Aurelia that bouquet, Liam couldn’t help but feel like he’d been outplayed. ‘Man, I’m a step too late,‘ he thought, a little frustrated. 

Just as Gideon was about to say more to Aurelia, her phone buzzed. 

Wade Lautner’s name popped up on her screen. 

Aurelia gave everyone a quick nod, then ducked into a corner to take the call. 

Wade’s voice came through the phone. “Congrats, Aurelia! Watched your livestream. You absolutely nailed it.” 

He added, “Sorry I couldn’t make it to support you in person today.” 

“Don’t worry about it, your congrats mean a lot,” Aurelia replied. 

Wade could tell she was busy, so he kept it short and hung up right after. 

Meanwhile, a whole bunch of people suddenly started pouring in at the entrance of the venue.
