Tessa took Jasper’s request seriously. Even while having breakfast, she couldn’t resist telling him what it takes to be a successful investor. 

She went over everything–financial basics, industry analysis, risk evaluation, strategic planning, and more. 

It was all so technical that Jasper felt like Tessa was speaking a whole different language. 

However, Jasper’s admiration for Tessa only grew deeper at the same time. 

Jasper became Tessa’s loyal sidekick, always at her beck and call. 

Tessa’d personally open the car door for her every single time, even giving a respectful bow and announcing, “My goddess, please get off.” 

Randolph couldn’t help but stare wide–eyed at that spectacle. 

He knew Jasper was the second son of the Quinn family in Ashmont. 

Randolph thought, ‘Sure, Jasper may have been a bit of a slacker, but with the Quinn family backing him, everyone still looks up to him. 

‘However, Jasper is bowing down to Tessa, my girlfriend’s cousin, like she is royalty.’ 

Karlie, on the other hand, was totally unfazed. She took the opportunity to fill Randolph in on Tessa’s impressive achievements. 

Tessa had a PhD from Whitvale School of Management. 

She’d worked at some of the world’s top banks. 

And Cassian had gone to great lengths to recruit her, making multiple visits to bring her back from the board. 

Any one of those achievements would blow everyone else out of the water. 

If Randolph used to think the Rowe family got lucky hooking up with the Locke family, he saw things differently now. 

He’d completely changed his mind. 

A woman like Tessa, smart, accomplished, and from a respectable family, was exactly what the top–tier families were looking for in a daughter–in–law. 

Honestly, Cassian and Tessa were a perfect match. 

So, Randolph became extra friendly to Tessa after that. 

While Jasper was busy playing Tessa’s loyal chauffeur, Dylan was right on his heels, ready to be her loyal shadow, making sure he stayed in the running for Tessa’s favor.

He was practically bouncing with curiosity and couldn’t wait another second to find out. 

Tessa just grinned and teased, “You want to know?” 

Jasper nodded eagerly. 

“You’ll find out soon enough,” Tessa said, still keeping him in suspense. 

Jasper was going crazy with curiosity. “Tessa, tell me already! I’m dying over here!” he pleaded. 

Cassian spotted some old acquaintances. He let Tessa know where he’d be and slipped away to catch up with them. 

It gave Jasper the perfect chance to stick to Tessa like glue, bombarding her with nonstop questions. 

Aurelia and Tyson arrived at the summit right around that time. 

Neither Aurelia nor Tyson had any influential sponsors or big corporations backing them. It was just the two of them, no fancy connections, and no deep backgrounds. 

Practically unknown, they blended right into the crowd. Naturally, nobody spared them a second glance. 

But with so much to learn there, they roamed the venue nonstop, soaking up every bit of market intel and opportunity they could find. 

And they made sure to eavesdrop on all the latest industry buzz while they were at it.

“Not sure yet. It’s still at internal testing, and the details haven’t been made public,” Chuck replied. 

However, one could bet everyone marked it down for later. There was no way they’d miss out on digging deeper. 

Jasper and Tessa also overheard all the industry chatter. 

Tessa jumped in to give Jasper a quick primer. “Did you hear what they were talking about just now? If you want to be a true investor, you’ve got to be forward–thinking to be able to spot new trends and shifts in the market before anyone else, and ready to make quick calls when an opportunity pops up.” 

Jasper didn’t get all those technical terms, but he understood what she was getting at. 

“So basically, this InquireMind is about to become the next hot thing?” Jasper said. 

Tessa smiled, clearly pleased with his grasp. “You’ve got it.” 

“I’m off to sniff out some news!” Jasper exclaimed, practically bouncing with excitement as he dived right into the group. 

Tessa finally got a chance to breathe a sigh of relief. 

She found herself genuinely intrigued by InquireMind. 

‘I’d better make sure to bring this up with Cassian later, Tessa thought. 

Just as that thought popped into her head, someone walked up to greet her. 

It was a man Tessa’d met at a previous dinner with Cassian, a familiar face from the northern investment circle. 

“Ms. Rowe, isn’t Mr. Locke here with you?” the man asked. 

It was clear that the man’s main interest was seeing Cassian. 

Tessa replied, “Yeah, we came together, but he ran into some old friends and went to catch up. He should be back soon.” 

The man chuckled and said, “You two seem to have something special.” 

Tessa smiled back and asked, “Why do you say that?”

“What are you two chatting about, Mr. Cooper?” Cassian greeted Gavin Cooper. 

Gavin grinned, eyeing their linked arms. “I was asking Ms. Rowe when I would get your wedding invite! I can’t wait to join the celebration and share your happiness.” 

“You’ll definitely get an invitation, Mr. Cooper. Don’t worry,” Cassian replied with a playful smile. 

“That’s all I needed to hear,” Gavin laughed, clearly pleased. 

Cassian and Gavin chatted away, the mood warm and friendly. 

Tessa was beaming, her face glowing with happiness. 

Overhearing their conversation, Aurelia felt a little bummed. 

She’d planned to cut through there to meet up with Tyson. 

But now she decided to take the long way around instead. 

She didn’t want to crash their happy moment–or worse, end up with a wedding invitation herself. 

However, even taking the long way around, Aurelia still ended up bumping into Jasper. 

‘I must’ve skipped checking the calendar for bad luck before heading out today,‘ Aurelia thought. 

Jasper had dug up some intel and was rushing back, eager to impress Tessa with what he’d found. 

Instead, he ran smack into Aurelia. 

His expression darkened in an instant, and he was ready to go on the offensive. 

That was how Jasper rolled, always quick to act like a jerk. 

He glared at Aurelia, snapping, “Aurelia Corin! What are you doing here?” 

“Why can’t I be here?” Aurelia shot back. 

Jasper snarked, “You’re just salty, aren’t you?”

After Jasper finished his rant, Aurelia just nodded, clearly not interested in arguing back. 

“Ha! Nailed it, didn’t I?” Jasper smirked, looking ridiculously pleased with himself.
