Chapter 90Â
Aurelia waited by the entrance for about five minutes until Benjamin showed up.Â
She went over herself to help Benjamin out of the car.Â
Benjamin asked if she’d been waiting long, and Aurelia hurriedly replied, “No, not at all.”Â
Even though Aurelia denied it, Benjamin could see through her answer, and he felt satisfied with her thoughtfulness.Â
“It’s good to value time. If you want to accomplish big things, you have to treat time as your most precious resource and handle every task in an orderly way.” Benjamin advised.Â
Aurelia listened carnestly to everything Benjamin said, eager to learn and taking his words to heart.Â
When they arrived at the private room, everyone was already there.Â
As soon as Benjamin walked in, everyone stood up to greet him.Â
Some called out, “Benjamin!”Â
Others addressed him as “Mr. Locke.”Â
Everyone showed him the utmost respect.Â
Aurelia had mentally prepared herself before coming, knowing that everyone at this dinner was a big shot.Â
But seeing them in person was a whole different story.Â
Just one of these people could send shockwaves through the entire Ashmont business scene.Â
Aurelia recognized a few of them.Â
Others she’d only ever seen on TV.Â
All of them treated Benjamin with the utmost respect.Â
That’s when Aurelia suddenly remembered. Benjamin had another identity she’d almost overlooked.Â
He was the President of the Ashmont Chamber of Commerce.Â
The Ashmont Chamber of Commerce was a non–profit alliance, formed voluntarily by Ashmont’s top business leaders.Â
Its mission was to serve, guide, and unite the entire Ashmont business community.Â
Its members covered everything from manufacturing and finance to trade, healthcare, education, real estate, and even tech and internet companies.Â
It was an association that brought people together and helped drive business cooperation and economic exchange.Â
It held all the top business connections and resources in Ashmont.Â
As the President of the Ashmont Chamber of Commerce, Benjamin had spent the past few years mostly keeping to himself, only ever calling people together when it was absolutely necessary.Â
He was pretty much off the radar these days.Â
But tonight, for once, he’d personally called everyone together. and every big name in the association had shown up.Â

Chapter 90Â
Everyone was dying to know what Benjamin was up to, or what orders he might hand down.Â
Benjamin gestured for everyone to take their seats, placing Aurelia right aÂ
side.Â
That move instantly caught everyone’s attention.Â
066Â
They all started sizing Aurelia up, trying to figure out who she really was.Â
After all, it had to take someone pretty extraordinary to make Benjamin, who’d been laying low for years, step out and call the shots tonight.Â
Some folks recognized Aurelia and knew she worked as Cassian’s secretary, so they started guessing that Benjamin was laying the groundwork for Cassian tonight.Â
But after Benjamin took his seat, he caught everyone off guard by having Aurelia pass out her business cards.Â
Everyone glanced at the card.Â
Her title read: General Manager of Regal Investment.Â
Not a single person there had ever heard of this company.Â
Benjamin quickly cleared up everyone’s confusion, explaining that Regal Investment was a brand–new investment firm, still small in both assets and scale.Â
But even though it was just a little–known startup, it actually had Benjamin himself supporting it.Â
These people were all sharp as tacks. They instantly got what Benjamin was hinting at, and started treating Aurelia with extraÂ
courtesy.Â
Aurelia finally got the chance to introduce the projects she was currently pushing forward.Â
When the head of Nietzki Corp, Bruce Porter, realized she was the one backing InquireMind, his eyes lit up and he struck up an enthusiastic conversation with her right away.Â
Word had gotten around.Â
Most of the others had at least heard of InquireMind, and would chat with Aurelia now and then.Â
But Bruce was definitely the most enthusiastic of them all.Â
He asked Aurelia, “My son says with AI, you can make cars smarter even if their computers aren’t top–notch. It cuts costs, too. And by combining all kinds of data and reading sensors on the fly, AI helps self–driving cars make smarter choices when the road gets tough. like spotting obstacles and figuring out the safest way to go. It really takes smart driving to the nextÂ
level.”Â
“AI can definitely do all that,” Aurelia replied. “And honestly, it’s shaking up the car industry, helping new features roll out faster and making the whole business level up.”Â
“We old folks don’t really get this new tech,” Bruce said with a chuckle, “But my son’s been digging into it for the past couple of years. Let me get him over here so you guys can chat!”Â
Bruce couldn’t wait. He whipped out his phone and called his son on the spot.Â
Aurelia’s brows furrowed.Â
She remembered that Bruce’s son was Liam.Â
And just over an hour ago, she’d had a bit of an unpleasant run–in with him.Â

Chapter 90Â
But business was business. Aurelia wasn’t about to let personal feelings mess with her work, and she was pretty sure Liam feltÂ
the same way.Â
Liam was different compared to Jasper. He actually knew what he was doingÂ
After coming back from studying overseas two years ago and joining Nietzki Corp, he’d been driving innovation in the auto industry, focusing on new energy vehicles and autonomous driving tech.Â
Liam was at the East Pastures Estate, joining Tessa and Jasper for a round of golf.Â
Cassian still hadn’t shown up yet.Â
So Liam and Jasper were dutifully keeping Tessa company.Â
When Liam got the call from his dad and heard what was up, he turned to Tessa and Jasper and said, “My dad wants me to go meet some big shots from the industry. I’ll be back in a bit.”Â
“Hurry up, man! Cassian and the others will be here soon, and we still gotta have our showdown!” Jasper called out.Â
Liam did exactly as his father told him and tracked down the private room. Before going in, he fixed his hair and straightened his clothes, hoping to leave a solid first impression on all the big shots inside.Â
Grinning from ear to ear, he knocked, pushed the door open, and called out a cheerful hello to everyone.Â
The second Liam saw Aurelia, his grin died instantly.Â
Aurelia didn’t even look his way. She just focused on her coffee as if he wasn’t even there.Â
Bruce gave his son a nudge. “Why are you just standing there? Go say hi to Ms. Corin!”Â
‘Ms. Corin?‘ Liam wondered, a bit thrown off.Â
Bruce explained, “This is Aurelia Corin, General Manager of Regal Investment. She’s working on an AI project that’s a great match for us. I don’t really get all this tech stuff, so I want you to talk to her about it!”Â
“You two are about the same age, so get to know each other. It’ll make future collaborations a lot smoother,” Bruce added.Â
Liam forced himself to greet Aurelia, putting on a brave face. “Hello, Ms. Corin.”Â
He never imagined he’d be the one talking to Aurelia this way.Â
Aurelia, polite but distant, gave him a cool nod. barely acknowledging him.Â
She was treating him just like he used to treat her.Â
It was funny how the tables had turned.Â
Liam was really getting a taste of karma.Â
But what stunned him even more was that Benjamin had personally brought Aurelia to this dinner.Â
He knew he’d never even had a shot at a seat at a table this exclusive.Â
‘Guess I’ve got no choice but to swallow Jasper’s crap, huh?‘ Liam thought to himself.Â
Liam wasn’t just all talk. He actually had some real expertise, and he dove right in, sharing his ideas with Aurelia.Â
He started explaining how AI could shake things up and push the car industry to the next level.Â
Chapter 90Â
Whether he was trying to flex or had some other agenda, Liam kept dropping fancy buzzwords left and right. Aurelia just listened, half wondering if he was showing off on purpose.Â
He always figured Aurelia was just the investor.Â
She probably just got lucky landing the InquireMind deal.Â
All the technical stuff was probably over her head, and she was only here because Benjamin brought her along.Â
Liam had always heard Aurelia knew exactly how to handle people, but tonight he finally witnessed just how formidable sheÂ
could be.Â
It was obvious to Aurelia that Liam was deliberately making things difficult for her.Â
But he didn’t really know what Aurelia was capable of.Â
Honoria Capital had backed all sorts of projects over the years, and as Cassian’s secretary, Aurelia always had to keep herself up to speed on different industries.Â
She’d gotten used to digging into the nitty–gritty of every project, learning everything she could about the field.Â
She might not be an expert, but she could handle the day–to–day stuff just fine.”Â
Besides, Liam wasn’t some expert either. So there was no way he could ask such technical questions.Â
