That night, Shelly opened her phone to book a flight from Stormfall Pack to Spain. As soon as the payment went through, Julian and Grace arrived. “Shelly, I have good news! Grace said yes! I’m a good friend, right? You’re the first person I told.”
She looked at their clasped hands. Shelly nodded. “Congratulations.”
Grace’s eyes were sparkling. She smiled shyly. Thank you for the blessings. Mrs. Ross said you were badly injured. Are you feeling better? I brought some soup for you to recover.”
She urged Julian to serve the soup quickly. Shelly watched him obey her command. Thank you, but I don’t need the soup, Shelly said.
Julian’s face went dark instantly. His eyes were cold.“Grace cooked this soup herself. I didn’t want her to bother, but she insisted. How can you be so ungrateful?”
He poured a bowl and shoved it into her hands, demanding she drink it. Shelly tried to explain, but he held her wrist down. The Alpha’s command made it impossible to refuse. Her body tensed. A wave of fear washed over her. He had never used his Alpha command on her. Her hand trembled, and the bowl overturned. The hot soup spilled all over her wound.
“Ah!”
Her face crumpled, turning as pale as paper. A sharp pain consumed her. Cold sweat beaded on her forehead.
Grace was startled and pulled out a tissue to help wipe herself. Julian quickly pulled her behind him, afraid she might get burned.
“Grace, this has nothing to do with you. She’s a Beta, always been tough. It’s nothing. Don’t blame yourself.”
Shelly’s hand, holding the tissue, trembled. Her chest tightened.
“That bitch! She’s seducing our mate!” Phoebe roared in her head.
Shelly’s eyelashes fluttered. She said as calmly as possible, He is not our mate. He rejected us a long time ago.”
Just then, Mr. Ross walked in. He saw her wound bleeding again and called for a nurse.
Mrs. Ross explained to Grace, “Grace, Shelly is allergic to seafood. She can’t have soup with fish in it. We appreciate your kindness, thank you.”
Julian froze. His expression was unnatural. “Why didn’t you say so earlier?”
Shelly looked at the bloody gauze. Her heart was filled with bitterness.
He used to remember her allergies. He would tell the waiter no seafood, no green onions, and no gluten.
But now he had Grace.
She filled his heart and his eyes. He wouldn’t remember the small details about Shelly.
He could only have one mate, the person he loved most.
As a powerful Alpha, he could choose the one he wanted, even if it meant rejecting the fate given by the Moon Goddess.
After a long silence, she forced a smile. “You never gave me a chance to speak.”
The room was dead silent. Grace was on the verge of tears. The Omega was indeed lovable. She has long, thick eyelashes, a voluptuous figure. Any man would risk the backlash of defying the Moon Goddess to have her.
Julian’s heart ached at Grace’s expression. He led her away without a word.
Due to the infection, Shelly stayed in the hospital for three more days.
Phoebe felt a little guilty. If her healing abilities were stronger, Shelly wouldn’t have suffered for so long.
Phoebe was a rare wolf with a less dominant personality. Her abilities weren’t as strong as other wolves, but Shelly’s human personality was more than enough to make up for her shortcomings.
The time to emigrate was getting closer. The Rosses were busy packing. Mr. and Mrs. Ross didn’t have time, so they prepared a gift and asked Shelly to deliver it to the Blakes.
As soon as she walked in, Mr. and Mrs. Blake pulled her aside to ask how she was recovering.“Shelly, we’re so sorry. We never thought Julian would protect Grace and not you in the crash. Julian needs to apologize to you.”
Shelly shook her head. She gently comforted them. “Grace is Julian’s mate. It’s right for him to protect her. I’m fine. You don’t need to worry

Mr. and Mrs. Blake looked relieved. They chatted for a while before Shelly told them her family was leaving the pack. They looked shocked.“So suddenly?
“We started preparing six months ago, but we just confirmed it,” she said.“My parents asked me to come and tell you.”
Mr. and Mrs. Blake knew about the move, but they had hoped their old friends would stay longer. They were sad to see them go. Their voices were filled with reluctance. “Will you ever come back?”
Shelly smiled. Her voice was exceptionally clear in the quiet living room. “No. I won’t be back.”
Just then, Julian walked in, a frown on his face. “Who’s not coming back?”
