Sera’s discharge coincided with her birthday. It was a double celebration, and Julian booked the most luxurious hotel for a lavish birthday bash. The opulence left the guests breathless. Even Julian’s lycans had meticulously prepared gifts for her.
But Sera felt little enthusiasm. After the previous incident, she’d lost all goodwill towards Julian’s friends. They attributed her lack of
excitement to her recent illness.
The cake–cutting and wishing part arrived. Julian embraced her, gently cutting the cake.
“Sera, it’s your birthday. What’s your wish?”
In the past, she would have said she had no wish, because his love was enough for her. Now, her only desire was to leave him and erase him from her life forever, to sever the bond that tied her to him.
She looked into his adoring eyes.“King Julian Stone, will you grant any wish I make?”
Julian hesitated for a moment. His Lycan instincts surged with the need to please her, to keep her close, but he smiled warmly, his Alpha demeanor coming through.“Of course.”
She smiled, but her eyes showed no happiness.“I have three wishes.”
He chuckled indulgently.“Alright, name them. I’ll give you whatever you want.”
Sera took a blank piece of paper out of her purse.”
e.“My first wish is for you to sign this.”
A collective gasp rippled through the room. Everyone knew that signing a blank document was incredibly risky for someone of their stature. It could easily be misused. Julian, King of royal pack, would never do such a thing. Unless he’d lost his mind.
To everyone’s surprise, he smiled and signed without hesitation.
“There you go, sweetheart.”
Sera clutched the paper, relieved. With his signature, she could now request a ritual that would challenge the mate bond. She would be
free.
Julian, sensing her contentment, felt a surge of happiness. His lycan, always eager to please her, swirled inside him.
“Sweetheart, what’s your second wish?”
Sera looked at the guests, their expressions ranging from shock to envy. Chloe, standing a short distance away, glared at her with unconcealed jealousy. Sera ignored them and looked into the distance.
She smiled.“My second wish is for you to transfer control of your Lycan Kingdom to me.”
A wave of stunned silence washed over the room. Julian’s kingdom was vast and rich in resources. His influence over the territory was priceless Even with his devotion, he wouldn’t agree. But to everyone’s shock, Julian immediately called his advisors, instructing them to relinquish control of the territory to Sera.
Looking at the signed transfer document, Sera’s spirits soared. Her future was now secure.
Julian hugged her tenderly, his lycan presence overwhelming.“Sweetheart, I’m powerless now. I work for you. Don’t leave me, okay?”
Sera smiled thinly. Just as she was about to speak, a shriek pierced the air.
“Someone’s fainted!”

It was Chloe. Julian’s face changed. He ran towards her, then stopped, turning to Sera. His lycan screamed at him to stop him from running away, but he ignored it, again.
“Sera, I’ll take her to the hospital. Enjoy yourself. Tell me your last wish by bond.”
“There is no third wish,” she replied.
“What?”
She shook her head.“Nothing. Go.”
Watching him leave with Chloe, Sera smiled faintly.
Her wolf stirred, no longer caged by her feelings for him. She would soon be free, and nothing could hold her back.
“Julian, I don’t need to fulfill
you
my
third wish, because it’s to leave you. And in three days, I will.” She said in her mind.
