He didn’t wait for me to say those words again. He tugged.

It was small, almost lazy, but it pulled me straight into him. My chest hit his, and the air rushed out of my lungs. The sound that escaped me was somewhere between a gasp and a squeak.
I didn’t know someone could survive without breathing, but I was certain I wasn’t breathing anymore. Every inch of me was aware of how close we were.
And before I could even blink, his lips were on mine.
It wasn’t gentle or hesitant. The kiss hit me like a jolt, stealing what little air I had left.
My hands hovered uselessly at first before finding their way to his shoulders, gripping him just to keep steady. My heart hammered in my chest, and somewhere deep inside, something stirred, something I didn’t understand. A pull, a heat, a kind of wanting that made my thoughts blur.
Maybe it was because of the ceremony. Maybe it was because of everything that had built up between us since the moment we met. But whatever it was, it wasn’t going away. It felt like a fire that had been waiting for air, one breath, one touch, and it roared to life.
His grip on my waist tightened as he deepened the kiss, and for once, I didn’t think about danger or curses or survival. I just let it happen.
His lips moved against mine again, slower this time, like he was trying to memorize me. My body felt weightless, like the water wasn’t the only thing holding me up. I didn’t even realize when my hands slipped from his shoulders to his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat under my palms.
It was strange how something so simple could make me feel both nervous and safe at the same time. My pulse wouldn’t calm down, yet I didn’t want to pull away.
He kissed the corner of my mouth, then my jaw. Each time, I felt a rush of warmth travel through me, chasing away every cold thought. My breath caught when his lips brushed lower, grazing my neck. It wasn’t the kind of touch that made me afraid. It made me feel seen, completely and without hesitation.
A sound escaped me before I could stop it, a small, shaky moan that made my cheeks burn. I didn’t know a person could sound like that. I didn’t know I could sound like that.
Cassian’s breath hitched too, but he didn’t rush me. His hand moved slowly, tracing the shape of my side, pausing as if to ask permission. When I didn’t stop him, he continued, his fingers brushing against me in a way that made my knees feel weak.
Every part of me felt alive, like my senses had just learned how to exist. His mouth found my shoulder, then my collarbone, leaving faint, wet trails of warmth that made me tremble. When his lips reached lower, my breath hitched again, my mind too dazed to think.
I wasn’t scared, not even a little. I just felt, completely, fully. Like I was floating in something that wasn’t just water but something deeper, something shared between us.
And then it hit me.

It wasn’t the heat of the kiss, or the adrenaline of the ceremony, or some mysterious pull between an Alpha and an Omega that I’d been taught about. It wasn’t the ceremony’s magic or a curse’s side effect. It was something far simpler and infinitely more powerful.
This wasn’t a mere want. This was a primal and physical need. A throbbing, desperate necessity that felt like the very foundation of my body. It was the sudden, shattering realization that every single one of my senses, was focused on satisfying this terrifying hunger.
I gasped, my fingers digging into his chest as the truth settled. I needed him to touch me. I needed his mouth against my skin. I needed to feel the steady power of his body pressed against mine. I needed him… inside
- me.
The moment Cassian’s lips pressed against my breast, a defiant heat rose within me. Instead of bowing, I arched my head, offering more than obedience, offering desire. My eyes fluttered closed, every other thought obliterated by the raw, magnetic throb that pooled, warm and heavy, in my core.
A sound tore its way from my throat, deeper and rougher than the first, a guttural admission of that truth. It was the sound of a woman finally recognizing her own deep, burning desire. My head fell back, offering him everything, but this wasn’t an act of surrender, it was a simple, shattering demand from my body to his.
After what felt like forever of my body trembling against his touch and lips, his head lifted just enough for our eyes to meet, and in the space of that single, suspended breath, the world outside the water vanished. His gaze was dark, intense, and utterly without judgment. And my own eyes, wide and heavy–lidded, answered with a trembling yes.
He didn’t rush. He didn’t demand. Instead, Cassian treated my body like something fragile and precious, something he was discovering for the very first time. His hands, though strong, moved with a devastating reverence, shifting me gently, positioning my body against his.
The contact wasn’t a sudden shock, it was the slow, molten joining of two separate fires.
I knew then… I wasn’t submitting. I was unraveling.
My hands gripped his forearms, feeling the taut muscle there, using it as an anchor in the storm of sensation.
As he moved, I felt the unmistakable deepening pressure as he slid inside me. I felt my core stretched, and I felt a brief, distant ache. But the intense pressure of him being fully inside me immediately swept away the feeling.
A deep gasp escaped me. It was a noise of sheer need. The feeling of being empty disappeared entirely, replaced by an intense, aching fullness that settled deep inside my body.
His lips found the shell of my ear. “Atasha,” he whispered. The sound was raw, it rumbled inside me like a low vibration that traveled straight through my bones, making my entire body spasm with a dizzying pleasure.
The water moved, then we moved. It was like a slow, intimate dance without steps or rhythm, just two bodies adjusting to one another. I pressed closer, needing the impossible, trying to absorb him into myself. The feeling that settled over me was pure, simple grace, an overwhelming sense of being absolutely, perfectly aligned.
The air shuddered out of me as I finally, completely, let go. I closed my eyes and sank into the certainty of his touch, utterly surrendered not to his will, but to the overwhelming power of the need we now shared.

And just as I was reaching that dizzying, fragile peak, a moment when my spirit felt completely shattered and remade, Cassian’s mouth settled against the most tender skin of my neck.
The perfect storm of sensation was capped by a distinct, unforgettable pressure against the curve of my neck. The press of his teeth was less pain and more absolute declaration. This was it. He had marked me.
Author’s note: I wanted her first time to be full of emotions. I am writing something more… specific (ehem) for the upcoming chapters, hehehe.
