Marianna struggled to suppress her nausea, her eyes bloodshot with rage as she glared at Kayla and cursed, “Kayla, you bi-
Before Marianna could finish her insult, Kayla slapped her hard across the face. Then, without a second thought, Kayla stomped her foot onto Marianna’s back and forced her head back into the toilet again.
“Can’t watch your tongue? Then I’d better wash your mouth out with some toilet water again,” Kayla spoke icily.
Since she had traveled back in time, Kayla vowed she would no longer tolerate anyone hurting her–not a single bit.
Kayla thought, ‘If Marianna wants to slander me, let her. I don’t mind making all her accusations stick, and it won’t be such a bad thing to be labeled a bully.
‘Rather than trying so hard just to prove my innocence to everyone, it’s better to go completely insane.
Kayla withdrew her foot and looked at Marianna’s once–white dress, now stained and dirty. Right now, Marianna was lying on the floor, breathing faintly.
Marianna’s face, once sweet and innocent, was now covered with yellow, sticky grime.
Kayla couldn’t help but laugh, feeling a sense of satisfaction she’d never known before, “You’re the one who accused me of bullying, right? Now, with you looking like this, go out and tell everyone I bullied you. It’ll be much more convincing, don’t you think?”
Kayla’s tone was laced with obsession and bloodlust, but mostly, it was pure satisfaction.
In her previous life, Kayla had kept yielding, only to be trapped and pushed further by Marianna, forcing her into a dead–end.
Now, Kayla had completely lost her sanity and realized how freeing life could be. Thinking back to her tragic previous life, Kayla kicked Marianna again before walking away.
As she passed the large mirror by the restroom door, Kayla paused. In the reflection, she appeared immaculate–her limbs were intact, her face untouched by acid, still smooth and beautiful.
Kayla gently brushed her fingers across her flawless skin, relieved that her face had not yet been disfigured,
However, in the next moment, Kayla’s expression turned fierce. She slapped herself twice and muttered under her breath, “Idiot”
Kayla thought, I was such a fool. I held onto a worthless sense of family and friendship. That’s why I kept giving ground in my previous life
I gave scumbags like Marianna, Davon, and Tristian all those chances to hurt me, until I ended up with such a tragic outcome.
Feeling the burning pain on her face, Kayla stared at her red and swollen cheeks. She prodded it with her

tongue, excitement flashing in her eyes.

She tilted her head slightly, a wicked and rebellious smile spreading across her face, her eyes sparkling with intensity as she slowly bared her white teeth.
Kayla thought, ‘T’m back. Is everyone who owes me ready for my payback? I can’t wait to see the look of terror and despair on their faces.
As Kayla stepped out of the restroom, she collided squarely with a guy coming out of the men’s restroom. She looked up and instantly met a pair of cold, indifferent eyes. It was someone she knew–Payton Lynch.
Kayla furrowed her brows. If there was anyone she felt guilty or thankful toward in her old life, it was Payton.
In her previous life, when Marianna falsely accused Kayla of bullying her and forced Kayla to apologize in front of everyone, no one believed Kayla–except Payton.
Payton had always been distant and cold, indifferent to everyone. But at that moment, he had stepped forward and told everyone that he had witnessed the whole thing, that it was Marianna’s scheme, and Kayla hadn’t bullied her.
But Payton wasn’t very popular, either, and his voice was soon drowned out by Marianna’s cries and the pressure from Davon and the others. No one took Payton’s words seriously.
Kayla was still labeled as a bully, despised and ridiculed by everyone, forced to kneel and apologize to
Marianna.
And because Payton had spoken up for Kayla, Marianna had held a grudge against him as well.
Later, Payton was allegedly caught trying to sexually assault Marianna and was expelled from school.
Kayla had been shocked at the time. She didn’t believe that Payton would ever do something like this.
Marianna later bragged to Kayla, gloating that Payton had never tried to rape her. Marianna had set him up simply because he had spoken up for Kayla.
Back then, Marianna had smugly told Kayla that she would never let anyone who crossed her get away with it.
Kayla thought, ‘Well, Payton must have seen me go after Marianna just now. Since that’s the case, he probably won’t speak up for me now. He won’t make Marianna hate him because of me. Maybe that’s for the best.
With a sigh, Kayla said nothing and simply walked past Payton, leaving him standing there with a complicated expression, staring at her for a long moment.
As Kayla turned down the hallway, Tania Holden, wearing thick glasses, hurried toward her, looking anxious. “What took you so long in the restroom?” Tania asked.
Noticing the water stains on Kayla’s clothes, Tania instinctively pushed her glasses up and said, “Your clothes are soaked. What happened? Did you fall?”
Seeing her only friend again, Kayla was in a pretty good mood. She casually patted Tania’s shoulder and replied, “It’s nothing. A fellow student asked me to bully her, so I just helped out a bit.”

Tania’s eyes widened in confusion. “What?”

Kayla couldn’t help but laugh at Tania’s adorably puzzled expression, and the frustration inside her began to fade.
“Gandhi once said, when someone begs to be bullied, don’t hesitate–just give them what they want. That’s the true act of kindness.”
Tania was left speechless. She then murmured, “Did Gandhi really say that?” She thought what Kayla said sounded pretty ridiculous.
Kayla brushed past Tania, waving her hand. “It doesn’t matter.” Kayla thought, ‘What matters is that I’ve decided I won’t tolerate this anymore.’
As she walked down the corridor toward the classroom, Kayla spotted Davon standing by the door, with a number of other students leaning against the railing nearby.
The moment Kayla appeared, these kids immediately looked her way. Some of the bolder ones even started to tease, and there were even whistles.
One of them joked, “Kayla, your childhood sweetheart has been waiting for you for a long time.”
Davon was a straight–A student in Class A, while Kayla was an underachiever in Class G.
Davon was well–known among the students not only because of his excellent grades but also because everyone knew he was Kayla’s childhood sweetheart–the person she had chased after and loved since they were kids.
Davon’s cold, piercing gaze landed on Kayla before subtly flicking to the space behind her. “Kay, where have you been? I’ve been waiting for you for so long.”
As Kayla saw Davon again, her hands clenched into fists at her sides, and her downcast eyes were bloodshot.
In her old life, she and Davon had grown up together as childhood sweethearts. Everyone had always seen them as the perfect couple. Even when people joked that she was Davon’s future wife, she had always thought it was only natural.
Even after Kayla learned that Davon’s mother had been the other woman in someone else’s marriage and that Davon was an illegitimate child, she never held his background against him.
In fact, for the sake of the years of friendship they had shared, and with Davon having saved her by chance, Kayla had grown even more deeply attached to him.
Kayla even begged her father to help Davon’s family financially. That was the only reason Davon could continue to live his comfortable, privileged life.
