Chapter 77
Chapter 77
Kayla listened to Ravenna’s spiteful tirade without a word. Instead of bristling with anger, as everyone expected, she suddenly laughed out loud.
The unexpected reaction made Ravenna falter, unease flickering across her face. “You… why are you laughing?” she stammered.
Kayla gave a faint smile. “Oh, nothing. I just think you’re ridiculous, petty, fake, and downright vicious.”
A ripple of shock spread across the office. The other teachers exchanged uneasy glances.
Ravenna, aware of their eyes on her, flushed crimson. Her chest rose and fell as if she could barely contain her fury. “I’m foolish? Don’t be ridiculous!”
Kayla’s gaze narrowed. Her tone turned sharp as a blade. “Aren’t you? When gossip spreads on the school forum, you don’t bother to check the facts or confirm the truth. You just swallow it whole. Isn’t that foolish?
“You lashed out at me, not because you cared about anyone else, but because you felt embarrassed, like I’d dragged you down in front of the other teachers. And instead of admitting that, you hid behind the excuse of doing it for the students. Don’t you think that’s hypocritical?”
Her words came sharper with each step as she closed the distance between them, her tone cold as ice.
She added, “You never once asked me what actually happened. You never even considered that if those rumors were true, as a minor, I might have been in real danger. Instead, you branded me shameless, accused me of having no self–respect, and spat insults at me.
“Even when I went to the police, you twisted it into something malicious, questioning my motives, showing zero trust in your own student. Tell me, doesn’t that make you cruel? To have a teacher like you, it’s nothing but rotten luck.”
She had once pitied Ravenna, a star student turned reluctant homeroom teacher of Class G.
But after today, that pity was gone. A teacher who was foolish, hypocritical, and malicious, someone who didn’t care about the truth and couldn’t protect her students but was eager to smear them, didn’t deserve the title of teacher at all.
The saying was true. Anyone pitiful must have their own hateful side. Ravenna was the perfect example.
Ravenna had never faced such a sharp–tongued, unyielding student before. For a moment, she was completely thrown off balance. “You… you…”
But no matter how hard she tried, no rebuttal came. All she could do was glare furiously at Kayla, trembling with rage.
Kayla smiled faintly, her composure unshaken. “Ms. Nielsen, let’s not waste any more time. This whole mess has already damaged my reputation and caused me serious harm. I’ll be reporting it to the police.”
She pulled out her phone and, right in front of Ravenna, calmly laid out every detail to the officer on the other end.
When she hung up, she tilted her phone in her hand and added coolly, “Once the truth comes out, I expect a formal apology. Otherwise, I won’t hesitate to take legal action to defend myself.”
With that, Kayla turned on her heel and walked out, leaving Ravenna standing there, stunned and livid.
She hadn’t even reached her classroom when Davon appeared, blocking her path with a stormy scowl. A cluster of curious students trailed behind him, eager for drama.

Kayla brushed his arm aside in irritation, creating space between them.
“What do you want?‘ she asked flatly, her face full of disdain.
Davon’s eyes were fixed on her stomach, his expression so dark it seemed to drip anger.
She actually went behind my back with another guy?‘ he thought bitterly. Wasn’t she supposed to be madly in love with me? How dare she‘
“You don’t have anything to say to me?” he demanded.
Kayla lifted her brows in mock surprise. “Oh? So you finally came to pay me back, huh?”
