“Your mother did wrong,” he finally spoke. “She shouldn’t have interfered in your relationship with Rebecca, especially not by suggesting the rejection ritual. That’s unforgivable.”
I was somewhat surprised by his directness but remained silent, waiting for him to continue,
“But I ask you to reconsider your decision to move out,” he turned, looking directly into my eyes. “The Silver Shadow Moon Pack needs unity, especially during this crucial time. Your departure will be seen as a sign of family division.”
I took a deep breath, trying to think calmly. “Father, I understand your concerns. But I must prioritize Rebecca and our child’s safety and well–being. Today’s events prove she cannot receive the respect and peace she deserves under this roof.”
