Chapter 260

Rebecca’s POV

857

A soft knock at the door broke the moment, Diana peeked in, her face lighting up when she saw us. “The young Master Lucas is awake and asking for his mama,” she said. “And several visitors have arrived. Shall I tell them to wait?”

I exchanged glances with Dominic, who nodded encouragingly. “No, it’s alright,” I said. “Please bring Lucas in first, and then our visitors can come in small groups.

Diana nodded and disappeared, returning moments later with Lucas, who immediately ran to the bed, his eyes wide with curiosity. Dominic lifted him up, settling him carefully beside me.

“Lucas,” I said gently, “this is your sister, Ella. Remember we talked about her?”

Lucas leaned forward, studying Ella with intense concentration. He reached out one small hand to touch her cheek, his movement surprisingly gentle for a toddler. Ella’s eyes opened at the touch, and for a moment, brother and sister regarded each other solemnly.

“Ella,” Lucas said, the word clear despite his limited vocabulary. He looked up at me, then at Dominic, a smile breaking across his face. “My Ella.”

“That’s right,” Dominic said, his voice rough with emotion. “Your sister. And you’ll help protect her, won’t you?”

Lucas nodded solemnly, then leaned down to place a gentle kiss on Ella’s forehead, an action that brought tears to my eyes.

The first to enter were Sofia and Raymond, their faces alight with excitement. Sofia was carrying an enormous gift basket filled with baby items, while Raymond held a bouquet of flowers that filled the room with their fresh scent.

“Oh my God,” Sofia exclaimed, setting down the basket to approach the bed. “She’s gorgeous, Rebecca!”

I shifted Ella slightly so Sofia could see her better. “Sofia, Raymond, meet Ella Grace Sterling.”

Sofia’s eyes widened as she got a better look at Ella’s face. “She’s like a mini-version of you! Those cheekbones, that little nose… but those eyes…”

“Are all Dominic,” I finished with a smile.

Raymond, who had been hanging back a bit, moved closer. “She’s beautiful,” he said sincerely. “Congratulations to both of you.”

Sofia carefully sat on the edge of the bed, accepting Ella when I offered to let her hold her. “Hello, little princess,” she cooed, gently rocking Ella. “I’m your Aunt Sofia, and I’m going to spoil you rotten.”

I laughed, leaning back against the pillows. “As if her father won’t do enough of that already.”

“Thank God she doesn’t have Dominic’s serious expression,” Raymond said with a grin, earning a mock glare from Dominic.

Lucas, who had been watching all of this with interest, now moved to peer at his sister in Sofia’s arms. “My Ella,” he reminded everyone, earning chuckles from the adults.

Sofia carefully guided Lucas’s hand to touch Ella’s tiny fingers. “That’s right, Lucas. You’re her big brother. That’s a very important job.”

Chapter 260

The day continued with a stream of well-wishers, but by late afternoon, exhaustion was catching up with me. Dominic, ever attentive, noticed immediately and began politely but firmly turning away further visitors.

One week later, Ella was officially introduced to the higher-ranking members of the Silver Moon Shadow Pack in a small ceremony held in her nursery. The room had been decorated with silver moon and star motifs, with soft lighting that created a magical atmosphere.

Ella, dressed in a traditional white gown embroidered with protective symbols, lay in her silver-accented crib as pack members came to offer their respects and gifts. Beta Marcus and his team presented a silver rattle that had been in the Sterling family for generations, a symbol of their loyalty to the Alpha’s lineage.

“She will grow strong under your guidance, Alpha,” Marcus said formally, bowing to Dominic.

Emily, who had been appointed the new Alpha of the Collins territory after the previous leadership’s downfall, arrived with a gift of her own: a beautiful handcrafted mobile with silver wolves that would hang above Ella’s crib.

“May she know only peace between our territories,” Emily said, her words carrying the weight of an official peace offering.

I watched all of this from a comfortable chair beside the crib, Dominic standing protectively beside me. Through our Luna bond, I could feel the pack’s collective emotions-their joy at the new life, their pride in their Alpha’s growing family, their commitment to protecting Ella as one of their own.

It was a strange feeling, this connection to so many through the mystical bond of Luna. I had grown accustomed to it since Lucas’s birth, but it still sometimes took me by surprise, especially in moments of strong collective emotion like this.

As the ceremony concluded and the pack members filed out, Dominic knelt beside my chair, taking my hand in his. “You’ve given us another miracle,” he said softly. “The pack feels it. They sense that Ella, like Lucas, represents our future-a blending of worlds, of strengths.”

I smiled, squeezing his hand. “A future we’ll build together.”

Dominic nodded, his eyes shining with determination and love. “Together. Always.”

A month after Ella’s birth, life had settled into a new rhythm at Sterling Manor. The long summer days were perfect for spending time in the private gardens, where the high walls and enhanced security allowed our family moments of peace away from pack responsibilities.

On one such afternoon, I sat on a cushioned garden bench, watching as Dominic held Ella while Lucas played on a blanket spread over the lush grass. The sight of my powerful Alpha husband cradling our tiny daughter with such gentleness never failed to warm my heart.

“She has my eyes,” Dominic mused, gazing down at Ella, who was staring back at him with surprising focus for a one-month-old. “But her soul is like yours-obseryant, taking everything in.”

I smiled, watching Lucas arrange his toys in a precise line. “Two children, two miracles,” I said softly. “Sometimes I still can’t believe this is my life.”

Dominic looked up, his eyes finding mine across the garden. “They will be examples for the next generation of our kind,” he said. “Lucas with his natural leadership, and Ella…” He paused, looking down at our daughter. “She has a quiet strength about her already. I can sense

it.”

I nodded, understanding what he meant. While Lucas had shown his wolf nature from before birth, Ella’s presence was different-more subtle but no less powerful. Dr. Winters had confirmed that she, too, carried the wolf gene, but it seemed to express itself differently in

her.

“What do you think they’ll be like when they grow up? I asked, watching as Lucas abandoned his toys to come over and peer at his sister.

Dominic shifted Ella slightly so Lucas could see her better. “Lucas will be a natural leader, like his father,” he said with a smile. ‘And Ella… I think she’ll be a bridge-builder, like her mother. Someone who brings people together, who understands both sides.”
