corridor, letting my body relax before I pushed through the door.

“I’m so sorry I’m late, Dr. Miller. I got held up at-”

I scoffed, and Dr. Miller looked between the two of us.

“It’s perfect.” Ares set the coffee on the table and patted beside him, urging me to

come sit.

I stood there for a minute feeling like I wanna toss something at his handsome face to ruin it, but after taking a deep breath, I walked and sat beside him.
