Adelaide stared at the dishes on the table, feeling a bit sad, “Mr. Thorton, I’m afraid this is too much to finish.“”

Adelaide clenched her fist, holding back her emotions, “You 

froze all of my cards.“”

Spencer didn’t think what he did was wrong. He sighed calmly 

and said, “Adele, I thought about it all night after I got back last 

night. The reason you’ve become so reckless and vulgar may be 

because someone has influenced you in a bad way, but more 

likely it’s because you feel you have money in your hands, so 

you’re not afraid of consequences, which is why you’ve become 

so shameless.” 

“You’ve always been well taken care of since you were young, 

I’ve always looked after you. What happened with Garrett and Amanda was just me being impulsive, wanting you to realize 

certain realities. But I don’t want you to completely indulge 

yourself because of this, I want you to always be under my 

protection, obedient and well–behaved.”
