playing around, then stop. No matter what, Ms. Pierce is a big 

benefactor to our family, I can’t stand to see you bully her.” 

Wow, he found a backer so quickly. 

Reginald took a sip of wine and casually said, “Got it, sis–in–law.” 

Arianna couldn’t wait to be alone with Adelaide, so they went 

outside and sat in a nearby gazebo. 

She waved her fingers and said, “Ms. Pierce, they think I’m sick.” 

Adelaide was pleasantly surprised because it was Arianna who 

took the initiative to talk to her. She also sensed from her words 

that she was resistant to others thinking she was sick. 

“It’s normal, because compared to us artists, we are more 

sensitive,” Adelaide said in a relaxed tone, “Just think about it, if 

you were playing at KTV with a group of people who can’t sing, 

and you were the only one who could sing the whole time, 

wouldn’t they see you as different?” 

Arianna thought for a moment, then nodded.

Adelaide chuckled, “So, you know, artists, most of them are 

considered crazy. Even the great inventor of the light bulb, 

right? Crazy scientist.” 

After some self–reflection, Arianna suddenly had a realization 

and hugged Adelaide, saying, “Adelaide, I still like you the most.” 

Adelaide patted her head. 

“I was studying abroad, and I was the only foreigner in the class, 

so they didn’t play with me and even isolated me as a group. I told my grandpa about this, but he said I didn’t go there to make friends, but to improve myself. My goal is to stand in the grand opera house as a singer and bring honor to him.” 

“But I was so miserable, it’s so hard to bear this feeling of being 

isolated.” 

Adelaide felt a pang in her heart, so she hugged her for comfort. 

Arianna’s grandfather Emerson Cohen was a singer when he 

was young, while Roderick only liked doing business, so the 

pressure fell on Arianna. 

Arianna’s voice trembled, as if she was holding back some emotions. “My parents are most afraid of my grandfather, so I knew telling them wouldn’t help. Because my grandfather would still insist on keeping me there. But I want to go back to my country, I don’t want to stay there, so I tried to commit

“Grandpa finally realized something was wrong with me, so he 

had my parents bring me back to the country. Actually, I wasn’t 

really sick!” 

Adelaide felt even more sorry. Arianna was too kind, too considerate of others, so she put all the pressure on herself. 

In her, Adelaide saw herself. 

Adelaide comforted her for a bit, decided to find a chance to 

chat with Lucille and them. Seeing the wind picking up, 

Adelaide took her back to the restaurant. 

Who suddenly saw two tall, muscular men in black suits in 

front of her, Adelaide was on high alert and instinctively pulled 

Arianna behind her. 

“Who are you guys?” 

“It’s me.” 

The bodyguards stood on both sides, Spencer walked over 

slowly. “Adele, I’m here to take you home.” 

Adelaide’s heart suddenly tightened, shocked that Spencer had 

found his way here. 

“Ms. Pierce,” Arianna said very softly, afraid of the man in front

Spencer’s cold gaze fell on Arianna, Adelaide immediately took two steps back, urging, “Run inside!” 

Arianna took in what she said, then ran off. 

“I’m not gonna argue with a kid, I’m just here to take you home,” Spencer said.
