“Doesn’t it make you uncomfortable watching us sign the contract?” 

Charlie’s expression wasn’t pleasant as Alice had kept her face cold the entire time. 

As her brother, he believed she should show some humility.

Alice smiled. “Honestly, don’t you think standing here is taking up other people’s space?” 

James overheard and walked over.

“Ms. Spencer, I’ve long wanted to meet you. Today is truly an honor.” 

Alice slowly stood. 

“No. Meeting me today is not an honor for you at all.”

“Alice, I know you’ve never wanted to cooperate with Mr. Richardson, but it’s pretty rude to speak ill of him in public.” 

Alice’s expression cooled, and her indifferent gaze fell on Charlie. 

“So?” she asked. “You think I’m embarrassing you?” 

Charlie’s eyes burned with anger. “Isn’t that exactly what you’re doing? 

“Don’t forget, you’re still a Spencer. Every move you make represents us!” 

Gary sighed. 

“Alice, don’t say such things. Mr. Richardson is now a partner to nearly all of Mapleford.” 

“Is that so?” 

Alice turned to James and pointed at the robot beside him. 

“Did you invent this, Mr. Richardson?” 

Without receiving any command, the robot slowly walked to James‘ side. 

Its pitch–black eyes turned toward Alice. 

On that cold machine, something eerily human appeared–excitement. 

James’s heart skipped, and he immediately stepped in front of the robot. 

But the robot spun lightly, bypassed him, and walked straight toward Alice. 

Alice lifted her hand, and the panda robot’s eyes instantly turned into hearts.
