He felt like there were two Alices right now. 

Dazed and floating, both of them were walking toward him.

“What does that mean? We were supposed to get money too?” 

“Who knows? Up to now, nobody’s even shown up to start any project.” 

By the time Alice reached Dominic’s home, it was already deep into the second half of the night.
