The current CEO of the Rowland Group, Nicollo Rowland, was Jennifer’s father’s cousin. 

So technically, Jennifer’s family was a side branch of the Rowlands. 

“If you take me with you, I can go hang out with my best friend. Just call me when you’re done.” 

“Please! Gary says it’s not safe for me to travel alone and won’t let me go. Help me out, okay?” 

Damon eventually gave in. He also wanted to use Jennifer as a way to get his foot in the door, so he reluctantly nodded. 

Linda finally felt relieved and went upstairs to return a call. 

“I’ve been allowed to go to Torenridge.” 

The mysterious person replied, “Don’t forget your mission.” Then hung up. 

Linda said nothing. 

They left that night. 

Alice didn’t expect to see familiar faces after getting on the plane. 

Damon had planned to fly economy. He didn’t have much savings, and with everything going on lately, he wanted to be frugal. 

But Linda was used to luxury. 

So they switched to first class. 

And that’s when they ran into them. 

“Mr. Eric, Alice, are you going out of town, too?” Linda asked, acting as if nothing had happened. 

Damon snorted and plopped down on a seat nearby, clearly displeased. 

Alice didn’t want to deal with her, so she stayed quiet. 

Eric was indifferent and silent. 

That made Linda look pretty awkward. 

Embarrassed, she bit her lip and quietly went back to her own seat. 

“Don’t worry, Damon. Jennifer already talked to the Rowlands. They said they’ll give us a grand welcome.” 

Damon was surprised.

The flight attendants rushed over with emergency medical kits, and a few medical professionals on board also rushed to the business class cabin.

Alice had been resting with her eyes closed, but she couldn’t relax anymore. She looked over at the child. 

The kid looked about three or four years old, with a face that was turning blue–classic oxygen deprivation. 

Alice frowned. 

Then, she stood up and walked over. 

“Let me try.” 

The medical staff didn’t move aside. “This is a life–or–death situation, ma’am. Please stay back.” 

Linda glanced at the brand name on the mother’s clothes and suddenly spoke up. 

“My sister is a doctor. She’s amazing. She even woke someone up from a vegetative state. Let her take a look. If you delay and something happens to the child, who’s going to take responsibility?” 

Alice knew Linda was putting her on the spot, but there was no time to argue. She immediately picked up the child. 

“Hey, don’t move the child! You’ll make it worse!” the medical staff shouted anxiously. 

“Do you have any idea how serious this is? 

“If something happens to the kid, how are you going to take responsibility? 

“This is ridiculous! 

“Put the child down!”

When the mother saw her child being taken away, she was so scared that she went limp and collapsed to the floor, speechless.

Luckily, Alice knew emergency treatment. The needles briefly opened the airway so the child could breathe and cough out the gum.

No one likes to be on a flight where a tragedy occurs. 

People started looking closely at Alice.

Alice went back to her seat and closed her eyes to rest.
