Earlier, Eric had seen Alice taken away and assumed they were being questioned separately.

He walked over and sat down, flipping open a file at random. 

His brow immediately furrowed. 

“These documents involve classified information. I can’t review them.” 

Lonnie rushed over. “Mr. Eric, please help us. These are exactly what Ms. Spencer is looking for. If you help, it’ll make things much easier for her. 

Eric fell silent at this.

The officer looked troubled. “But the one who shows up this time isn’t easy to send away.” 

Alice had no idea who was trying to get her out. 

All her attention was on Jamie.
