But Nathan disagreed.

They weren’t close to their mother. But blood was blood. There was still a bond. 

The only person who remained calm was Alice, 

To her, Maria mattered even less than people like Emma or Janice. 

Yet Maria’s final words stayed in her mind. 

The Sarratts never trusted important matters to outsiders. 

They feared betrayal above all else. If someone turned on them, the entire family could fall. 

So the true person in control of that lab was not Maria. And it definitely wasn’t Nathan. 

It had to be someone within the family. 

As for the flash drive, Alice didn’t care much about it.
