Emma was analyzing a set of cell data; when she heard him grumbling, she poked her head out and asked cautiously.

Clayton showed her his phone. “It’s that Linda again. She’s making a scene everywhere; it’s honestly exhausting.”

Deep down, they surely knew that Linda could only bring them misfortune.

And right on cue, Alice walked in. 

“How did the test results look?” 

The data Emma had just processed was exactly what Alice had come for. 

Right then, the machine beeped, signaling that the analysis was complete. 

“Ms. Spencer, give me a second.” 

Emma didn’t care whether Linda got her karma or not; she hurried over to the machine. 

“It’s out.” 

She handed the printed data to Alice. “The cellular activity is incredible. If I didn’t already know this was Xavier’s blood sample, I would have thought it belonged to someone in their 30s.” 

Alice finished reading, a shard of ice flashing in her eyes. 

“It’s been altered with drugs.” 

Emma instantly frowned. 

This was beyond her current scope of knowledge.

Alice walked back to the machine, adjusted a few settings, and ran the blood sample through again.

And immediately blurted, “Holy crap.”
