“Even if you could throw it up, it wouldn’t help.” 

Seraphina’s eyes widened.

“The same thing you once gave my master.” 

Seraphina kept clawing at her throat. 

“Come in. Help her up.” 

Alice spoke to the bodyguards at the door. 

Only then did Seraphina realize that the guards she had brought were silent. Too silent. 

She had been trapped from the beginning. 

Resistance now was pointless.

How could he be so… utterly shameless when it came to her? 

Outside, Stanley returned after securing Seraphina in the car, intending to report.
