The airport
Melanie just got to the arrival gate, and someone dashed out like the wind, “Lanie, I missed you so much!”
As soon as that voice came out, it immediately made a lot of people turn and look.
Suddenly, someone let out a cry, “Master Lily!”
“Oh my god, it really was Master Lily, she looked even prettier in person than in the photos!”
“I wanted to take a picture! I had to capture this moment.”
“Take a photo? Huh. Getting an autograph was way more important, okay?”
So, the people at the airport went crazy and ran after Master Lily.
And Master Lily, chased by everyone, was held down by Melanie, looking upset, wanting to hug her but just couldn’t.
After trying a few times with no luck, Master Lily stomped her foot, “Lanie, you’re so heartless, we haven’t seen each other for so long, what’s wrong with giving me a hug!”
“You sprayed perfume!” Melanie said helplessly.
Master Lily was mad, “I just sprayed a little, I had to because I was going to an event, right? I came to find you right after the event, you’re so heartless, you wouldn’t even let me hug you.”
Melanie, “No hugs.”
Master Lily, “stingy.”
She didn’t force a hug on Melanie, either.
Melanie was a weird person. Other people had a cleanliness obsession about mess and dirt, but Melanie had a cleanliness obsession about perfume.
There’s nothing wrong with showing up wearing perfume, but hugging her with perfume on? Definitely not allowed.
If her clothes got a perfume smell on them, she would throw them away right then.
Melanie reached out and grabbed Master Lily’s suitcase, glanced behind her, and motioned for her to look back.
Master Lily looked back and saw a bunch of people staring at them with wide eyes and open mouths, looking totally shocked.
Counted faces looking confused.
Master Lily,“…”
It was over!
To have someone see this unknown side of me.
Thinking of this, Master Lily quickly pulled Melanie away and disappeared in the airport.
And after they completely disappeared, Master Lily’s fans finally snapped out of it.
“What did I just see? Master Lily was actually smiling? Acting cute? And the other person was a girl? Was I seeing things?”

“Don’t panic, don’t doubt it, that was Master Lily! That’s right, we saw a side of Master Lily nobody knew about!”

And she was also kind of weird.
Whoever messed with her would get yelled at right then and there.
Getting yelled at was nothing; the main thing was, she would start hitting if she didn’t like what you said.
There was once a rich kid who had a crush on Master Lily. Foolishly, he bet he could sleep with her–but she ruined his manhood.
At that time, everyone thought Master Lily was in big trouble. Instead, the next day, his father brought him and apologized on his
knees.
What’s more, the father broke his leg right there.
Since then, nobody dared to mess with Master Lily.
Because she was a poisonous rose, you couldn’t touch her!
But just now, Master Lily not only smiled at somone, she even acted cute–at a girl. That was honestly shocking.

A car was speeding down the road.

“Lanie, when did your taste get so bad? Driving such a crappy car? How could you even bring yourself to do it?” Master Lily sat in the car, looking around with obvious dislike.
Melanie shot her a sideways glance, “Evander’s car, that’s probably the most valuable thing he had.”
Master Lily, “…Was Evander really that poor? How about I give him tens of millions for support?”
“What? I didn’t have money?”
“Then why didn’t you give it? Look at what a poor life Evander had? And look at you, could you really bear it?”
“In a while. If I gave it to him now, he probably wouldn’t want it either.”
Evander, “???”

“Alright.” Master Lily took back her disdainful look, “Since this car was Evander’s, I won’t mind. But next time, don’t pick me up in such
a crappy car. I’m not used to it.”
Melanie glanced sideways, “Next time? How long are you staying?”
“Just stay and watch, it’s boring to go back anyway.” Master Lily leaned back in her chair, not in a good mood.

Melanie noticed that Master Lily was in a bad mood. She lowered her eyes a bit, “Fought again?”
“Fight?” Master Lily snorted, “It was just me beating them up. If they wanted to mess with me, they should go practice for a few more
years!”
Melanie curled her lips, “As long as you can handle it, that’s enough. If you can’t, I’ve got your back.”
“I knew Lanie was the best to me.” Master Lily hugged Melanie’s arm and rubbed against her.
Melanie smiled, her eyes full of affection.
Master Lily’s original name was Liliana Sargent.
The eldest daughter of the Sargent family in Miami.
The two of them originally had nothing to do with each other. Now they were so close, all because a few years ago, they got into a fight.
A girl in a nightclub in Miami was bullied.
Liliana stood up for that girl. When Melanie went there, she didn’t see the people who bullied the nightclub girl. She just saw Liliana throw a wad of cash at the girl and told her, with a disgusted look, to go change her clothes. She thought it was bad luck.
Melanie thought Liliana was looking for trouble, so she beat her up.
Liliana couldn’t beat her, sat on the ground and cried loudly.
She kept saying she helped someone but still got beaten up, felt really wronged.
Melanie felt bad and bought Liliana a drink to say sorry.
It was pretty amazing, they were two totally unrelated people, and just like that, they became good friends.
Liliana really was a weird person. Once she picked someone, she just had to stick with them. So, for eight months out of the year, she flew to Atlanta to hang out with Melanie and Ruby.
Melanie drove the car to Liliana’s place in Atlanta.
There were people who cleaned the villa regularly, and it was pretty clean.
Liliana still disliked it a lot,“Can’t you just let me stay at your place? This crappy place didn’t feel human at all.”
“My place wasn’t convenient.” Melanie tapped her forehead.“I’ll come stay with you when I’m free.”
Liliana was finally happy.“So you’ll hang out with me these days? I haven’t seen you for so long, I just want to stick with you.”
“In a couple of days, tomorrow I had to go to the office, had something to take care of.”
“Then I went to the company with you.”
“Okay!”

Melanie came back only after having dinner with Liliana.
When she got to the Rasmussen’s villa, nobody had eaten yet, they were waiting for her.

Maybe Winona was just so pissed off by Melanie these days that she didn’t even notice the flaw in what she just said.
She told the Rasmussen family that Melanie and Estelle were switched at birth, but she taught Melanie the rules.
The Rasmussen family were all sharp as a tack, but they just glanced at each other and didn’t call out her lie.
Bethany’s face darkened and she was about to scold Winona, when Melanie said, “She behaved better than you. At least when I was out on the street, surviving on food from the trash, she gave me something to eat, sent me to school, and protected me when those men had bad intentions toward me. But you…”
Melanie looked at Winona and sneered, “If your so–called manners include throwing tantrums at elders in public, forcing your six–year–old daughter to eat dead rats, and calling your own daughter a little bitch–then wow, you’re really well–mannered.”
This was probably the most Melanie had said since coming back to the Rasmussen family, and every word was full of disdain and
sarcasm.
Winona was a professor, so of course she understood what she meant.
She got furious right away, slammed the table, and stood up.“Melanie!”
