At the Foster family estate, Zachary shot Romy a piercing glare. He said coldly, “Everything that needed to be said is already out in the open. So, what are you doing here now?” 

Romy forced a smile. “Zachary, no matter what, we’re still family. It’s only natural for me to check in on you and Maria.” 

Zachary let out a cold snort.

Romy tried to explain, but Zachary cut her off with a frosty tone. “If you’ve got something to say, just say it. If not, get lost.”

cheerful smile.

She poured out two cups and held them up. “I’m offering you this coffee to show my respect. Please, I’m begging you. Don’t drive my two kids out of the Foster family.” 

Maria gave her a sideways look. “Don’t you know what kind of kids you’ve raised? If we don’t kick them out, do you really want them to stay and bring trouble to the Foster family?” 

Romy said, “No, Maria, I’ve already talked to them. I told them to listen to you and Zachary from now on. Once I leave, you can raise them however you want. 

“I won’t interfere anymore. Maria, after all these years as your daughter–in–law, please, just drink this coffee and forgive Rocco and me for our mistakes.

Maria knew all too well what kind of person Romy really was.

Felix knew Nina was busy trying to save Scarlet, so when he found out about Zachary and Maria being poisoned, he immediately had the butler take them to the hospital. 

But he hadn’t expected the poison to be so complicated. The hospital couldn’t identify it at all, so he could only turn to Nina for help. 

Nina’s hand froze just as she was about to place another needle. She knew Samuel had plenty of poisons, and she’d already made sure there were extra people watching over her family. 

But even with all those precautions, Samuel still managed to strike when they least expected it. 

Nina put away her silver needles. 

But Scarlet grabbed Nina’s wrist. “Nina, it’s Samuel. He’s got all kinds of bizarre poisons, and he’s searching for people born under the right lunar signs. 

“He’s gone completely mad. You have to find him before it’s too late.” 

Scarlet was finally clear–headed, and as her mind cleared for a brief moment, her whole life seemed to flash before her eyes
