Shepard had never been this soft with her before, so she was confused just now. 

She couldn’t believe that he even asked what she thought, actually caring if she was okay with it. 

Shepard usually spoke in a commanding tone, leaving no room for negotiation, so his sudden change left her stunned, and she agreed instinctively. 

“Anyway, it’s all yours,” Shepard said softly. “Dreamscape Gallery Dreamscape products. This is your chance to make your own mark, Briana.” 

Whenever Shepard talked about business, there was something magnetic about him. 

He mapped out the future for her. “If you only run the gallery, its too niche, and pure art doesn’t make much money. I get that you’re doing this out of love, not for profit, but even passion requires financial support. 

“Briana, this brand still has real potential. If you focus on marketing, pick the right customers, boost your online presence, or even try live streaming sales, you can really make it work. 

“I’ll clear the way for you, and any department in the Carter Group is yours to use. Trust me, it won’t be long before Dreamscape outvalues the Lane Group.” 

Briana couldn’t take her eyes off Shepard, just quietly soaking in every word he said. 

He was a genius in business. With his guidance and support, she believed that everything he just said would come true. 

Shepard continued, “You’ve always wanted to take the Lane Group back from Edward, but honestly, that’s a tough nut to crack. The whole company is packed with Edward’s followers, and it’s hard for a woman to lead them. 

“Even if you somehow win it back, running the place would be a whole other headache. I’m thinking that-” 

Shepard smiled. “Why don’t you start a new company that surpases the Lane Group, and at the right moment, acquire that company with absolute capital? Then everything you desire will be yours.” 

Briana was completely captivated by Shepard because she saw the man she loved in him.

The whole place erupted in excitement. 

Everyone in Belaris knew Briana had opened a gallery called Dreamscape Gallery. It had already become a hotspot on social media, and the renowned painter Leonard was leading it. 

And now, Briana had a brand of her own. 

Just by the name, everyone could tell that Shepard had bought it for her. 

They thought, ‘What’s going on here? Why did Mrs. Carter, who used to be almost invisible, end up gaining status and drawing even more attention from Mr. Carter after pushing for divorce?‘ 

“Congratulations, Mr. Carter,” the host announced. “With Mr. Carter leading the way, Dreamscape is bound to reach new heights. Mr. Carter, may I ask what prompted you to buy this brand and decide on a new name so quickly?” 

The spotlight hit Shepard, drawing all eyes to him. 

He said simply, “I bought it for my wife. That’s all.” 

The whole room erupted in thunderous applause, while countless jealous and admiring gazes fixed on Briana. 

Briana gave a faint smile, looking calm and composed on the outside, but inside, her emotions were in turmoil. 

She thought, ‘What is Shepard doing? Why is he suddenly being so nice to me? He’s buying brands for me and even planning out my whole career. 

‘Is he really not even thinking about divorce anymore? Does he actually want to fix this marriage that’s falling apart? 

‘Why? Did he not love Vivian anymore? Or had he somehow realized her true nature?‘ 

Briana’s mind was in chaos. She could only force a polite smile instinctively, knowing that so many eyes were on her and she couldn’t afford to falter. 

Charles was thrilled because Briana’s big moment made him look good, too. 

“Look at that,” Charles said, clapping as he turned to his buddies Shepard never holds back. He just spent 300 million dollars like it was nothing.” 

His friends nodded in agreement. 

Charles shot a smug look in David’s direction. He thought, ‘Weren’t the Fletchers always acting like big shots? What now? Do they still think they’re on top?” 

David and the rest of the Fletcher family looked absolutely miscable, but they had no choice but to accept it and clap along. even though it was killing them. 

Edward and Diana looked just as sour. They felt even worse than the Fletchers. 

The Fletcher family and Briana were openly at odds, but they we family. 

However, in the end, Sophia got shown the door. She wasn’t ever allowed to attend the dinner while Briana was riding high, stealing the spotlight and walking away with a 300–million–dolla “gift” for everyone to see. 

In that instant, Briana pissed off both the Lane family and the Ftcher family.

Shepard leaned his head on his hand, answering casually, “Isn’t normal to treat you well?” 

He wanted to say that as a couple, they were a unified whole. 

“Is there something you want in return?” Briana asked, preparing herself for his answer. “Just tell me. There’s no way you’d give me a 300–million–dollar company for free.” 

She thought, ‘Come on, Shepard is a businessman. How could he possibly do a deal at a loss?‘ 

“No conditions. It’s just for you,” Shepard said, rubbing his forehead and closing his eyes. “Briana, don’t think the worst of me.” 

They loved passionately once. More than ten years of daily life together had given them a deep understanding of each other. 

After a brief pause, Shepard added, “Get Charles to help you manage it. And he must stay away from those people.” 

Once again, Shepard was giving her a warning. 

He had the sense that Charles might be caught in some scheme.
