Chapter 57Â
Chapter 57Â
Right now, the taste of Shepard lingered in her mouth.Â
His kiss turned demanding, prying her lips open, pushing deeper in a clear act of dominance.Â
After a brief daze, Briana snapped back, about to sink her teeth into him.Â
Briana thought, ‘What the hell is he doing?Â
‘He just kissed Vivian, used the same spoon with her, and now he’s coming after me?Â
‘It makes me gross. He’s so filthy that it makes me want to throw up!Â
But Shepard was faster than Briana. He pulled away from her lips before she could bite him.Â
Her lips were slick and shiny.Â
It was obvious someone had just ravished her lips.Â

“Is this what you call not loving me?” Shepard murmured, his thumb brushing the corner of her mouth. “You were into it when I kissed you.”Â
She made no move to resist. Instead, she parted her lips, allowing the kiss to deepen.Â
Shepard sneered, thinking, ‘She says she doesn’t love me, but her body gives her away every time. If Briana really didn’t love me, she’d only feel disgust whenever I touched her!Â
Briana was kind of speechless.Â
She thought, ‘I’m into it? Where the hell did he get that from?‘Â
She slapped his hand away and then furiously wiped her lips over and over.Â
She was desperate to erase every trace of his taste and warmth.Â
“Still putting on an act? Too late.” Shepard’s voice was cold and distant. Your instinct just now betrayed the truth. That was real.”Â
He didn’t just kiss her out of nowhere. It was all planned.Â
He did it just to see how she’d react.Â
And sure enough, he got exactly what he was looking for.Â
Briana could deny it all she wanted, but deep down, she was dying for his gentle caress.Â
Women always said no when they meant yes.Â
Briana scrubbed her lips so hard that she was about to rub them raw.Â

Chapter 57Â
She was putting so much force into it that her lips turned an even deeper shade of red.Â
She just wanted to bolt to the bathroom and rinse her mouth out.Â
“I was just stunned,” Briana gritted out, her jaw clenched. “I didn’t even have time to react.”Â
Shepard’s lips curled into a sly smirk. “Oh? Really?”Â
He raised an eyebrow and didn’t believe her at all.Â
Briana was fuming. “Anyone would freeze for a second if they got kissed out of nowhere.”Â

“Alright, I’ll take your word for it.” Shepard raised an eyebrow. “But then why did you part your lips? How do you explain that?”Â
She was totally letting him in.Â
Briana shot back, “I was going to bite you.”Â
But before she could, he pulled away from her lips..Â
She was just a second too late.Â
“Oh…” Shepard drawled, “so you were just trying to bite me, not hoping I’d kiss you even deeper? That’s a pretty funny excuse, Briana.”Â
If he hadn’t experienced it himself, he might’ve almost believed her.Â
She’s such a master at twisting things.Â
Briana was about to explode with rage.Â
She thought, ‘Why is Shepard so full of himself? I suppose it’s because I loved him that much once.Â
Briana could only curse herself for being so slow to react just now.Â
She should’ve just sunk her teeth into him, drawn blood, split his lip, and then slapped him hard across the face.Â
Briana scrubbed at her lips again, so fiercely that her lips were throbbing with pain.Â
She didn’t care and glared at Shepard. “Don’t you think you’re disgusting? You just kissed Vivian, and then pulled a sneak attack on me? I feel absolutely disgusted right now. I’m going to rinse my mouth out. I’ll use up an entire bottle of mouthwash.”Â
She shoved him hard in the chest, spun around, and stormed off.Â
But Shepard effortlessly pulled her right back.Â
He braced his hands on either side of her head, caging her in with his arms.Â

Chapter 57Â
“I kissed Vivian?” Shepard narrowed his eyes. “When did I ever kiss her?”Â
“What? Did Charles’s punch knock you stupid? You seriously forgot what you did?” Briana snapped.Â
Shepard looked like he finally got it.Â
He was on the phone, and when Vivian leaned in, from Briana’s angle, it must’ve looked like they were kissing.Â
“I didn’t,” Shepard said, locking eyes with her. “You got it all wrong.”Â
Briana scoffed twice. “Why won’t you just admit it? You did it but won’t own up? What are you so afraid of?”Â
“It didn’t happen, Briana. I’ve never been the type to do something and then chicken out,” Shepard replied coolly.Â
She couldn’t be bothered to argue with him anymore.Â
Briana thought, ‘I saw it with my own eyes. Am I blind or something?‘Â
“Alright, it didn’t happen.” Briana nodded, just playing along to shut him up. “You and Vivian are squeaky clean, just a mental and spiritual connection, never anything physical. I’m just the one with a filthy mind…”Â
Shepard’s brows shot up. “Briana, ever since I married you, I haven’t laid a finger on Vivian.”Â
“Oh, right, of course. You two are just deeply in love but always holding back, so disciplined and full of morals. I must be the one tarnishing your pure, self–sacrificing romance,” Briana shot back, every syllable coated in sarcasm.Â
‘Is he happy now? Can he drop it and let me go?‘ thought Briana.Â
She had no idea her attitude was actually messing with Shepard’s head even more.Â
Watching her mouth run off again, he was seriously tempted to just kiss her and make her stop talking.Â
‘Seal her lips and stop her talking right now,‘Shepard thought, his mind was screaming for it. His eyes darkened, and he dipped his head, claiming her lips once more.Â
As soft lips pressed tightly together, Briana’s words died on her lips.Â
Briana groaned inwardly, ‘Again? Is he ever going to stop?‘Â
This time, Briana wasn’t about to let him get away with it.Â
She was going to do everything she didn’t get to do last time.Â
Her eyes snapped wide open, and without a hint of hesitation, she bit down hard with no mercy.Â
The metallic tang of blood spread between their lips.Â
Shepard sucked in a sharp breath.Â

Chapter 57Â
Shepard thought, shocked, ‘She really bit me? Good. Very good.Â
Right after, Briana pushed against his chest with all her strength, giving it everything she had.Â
But he didn’t budge an inch.Â
Without hesitation, she raised her hand to slap him.Â
Shepard locked her wrist tight, keeping her firmly in place.Â
Not missing a beat, she jerked her knee up, aiming right for his groin.Â
Shepard lifted his knee, forcing her legs down and holding them firmly in place.Â
At the same time, his kiss became even more frenzied and deep, almost out of control.Â
Briana tasted the blood on his lips, salty and warm.Â
He kissed her like he’d lost his mind, rough, possessive, and completely out of control.Â
Briana was pinned, her head thrown back, helpless beneath his furious kiss that crashed over her like a raging storm, wrapping her up completely.Â
They were entwined in a death grip. Their breaths tangled together. Both of them were gasping for air now.Â
Briana had never been kissed like this, so rough, so wild. Her mind was going fuzzy from the lack of oxygen, her legs turned to jelly, and she had to cling to the wall just to keep from collapsing.Â
His taste was all she could feel in her mouth.Â
“Shepard, you lunatic… Let go… You’re insane…” Her words came out in broken, muffled fragments, impossible to make a full sentence.Â
Every time she struggled, Shepard just pinned her down even harder, not letting her go.Â
But the gap in strength between them was just too big.Â
‘How can he kiss me like this…’ Briana thought, completely stunned, her head spinning in disbelief.Â
“I hate you… Shepard… How could you… do this… what about… what about Vivian, huh?” Briana gasped out between his kisses, her voice muffled and furious.Â
